November 29, 2006 - Wait for the Wii - part five or so

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

sorry, the Wii-S3 thing was a remnant of an older version of this thread and I was too absent-minded to remove it since it was like, 2 AM. removing it now to avoid comfusion. the original title had given away the punch line (November 29, 2006 - The wait for the Wii-S3) and then I realized that I should change it. stupidly, I thought I removed the first bit but didn't.
Greg told me that the people got out of line and went home. =/
People? as in more than one person?

Okay, the next time they release new consoles, take a video cam with you. I want to see this stuff.

I bet anything that the people beside them had egged them on all night. "Yeah, this is the line for PS3's... *snicker*" I know I would.
A guy in my English class was complaining this morning because he bought a PS3 to sell on Ebay and no one bought it. I asked him how much he was trying to sell it for...$1500! He'd heard stories of people selling it for $2k so he thought he'd try. Now he's stuck with it!
My brother in law bought the lower priced PS3 on his Army Base ($560ish) and sold it for over $900 on Ebay the next day.

First off, that is illegal and he can get in a whole lot of trouble for that.

Second, AAFES shouldn't be selling the PS3 at a $60 markup.

I don't remember how much he bought it for...that was just my best guess since I don't even remember how much the PS3's were going for.

I had, bar none, the coolest guy in the line I was in for the wii. There was a kid there who had waited in line for a PS3, got the ticket and sold it the ticket for $900 then he used the money to buy the Wii, games and all the gadgets to go with it.

Buying something from a government discount store and re-selling it for profit. Although I've only ever seen this enforced for stuff like cigarettes and beer. I have heard of other stuff being enforced, but it's hearsay so take it as you will.

Us Target employees aren't allowed to wear Jeans :(

I wish I was a Real Life Comics Target Employee, Jeans would be a nice change from the ordinary Red + Khaki.
