Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

My Dad plays mostly girl toons, claiming that they have better costume options. While my boyfriend tried playing a girl toon once, was hit on by some random n00b, and decided that he didn’t like playing girl toons.

Now I am a girl, and I usually play girl toons, go figgure. BUT I have been known to play guy toons now and then.

Why do I play guy toons? I like to shake things up, I figgure that if a guy is allowed to play a girl toon then a girl should be allowed to play a guy toon. Even still it never enters in to people’s minds that I could really be a girl, even though girl toons are expected to be guys something like 90% of the time.

My other thought is, you can usually tell whether or not someone is Male or Female in RL by how the act, and even sometimes how they dress. Now I know that doesn't give any concrete proof but it's more to go on then looks.

Kind of put into perspective though why so many females in my guild, at the time, were playing male toons. They just couldn't deal with the bs. I don't blame them.
I wonder what the numbers are on females-with-male-toons ...

This isn't true, but it'd be funny if not only were the majority of girl-toons men, but the majority of boy-tunes were girls.

This is a terribly interesting topic. Personally, I don't care if guys roleplay women, most of the time. I do care HOW most of them roleplay women. But this is mostly a problem in tabletop gaming. The computer gaming seems to lack a large roleplay element which kind of bypasses about 80% of everything I dislike about men roleplaying women. But I've seen a couple of guys play women in D&D or other tabletop games and it almost always seems to be either Pretty Princess Fru-Fru or Mistress Slutalot.

D&D. Female Paladin, played by a man, after a battle.

All three of my Horde characters are female, (Orc warrior, Troll mage, and Tauren Druid) mostly 'cause when I decided to roll Horde I figured it was probably a sausage fest with the gender ratio. Although I never did much notice it either way now that I think about it. Old main was a Male Human Paladin though, and damn do I wish he was a dwarf so that he wasn't one amongst a million similar ones.

Never was a big difference in how I interacted with people, except I kinda role-played my druid as just being sweet as a button for some reason (in my mind at least). Being restoration (healing) specced probably had a lot to do with that. :) Oh, there was this one time where I was fooling around on my orc (who happens to be an engineer) after a Battleground and deployed a target dummy, and proceeded to dance with it. My group mate declared I had imported pole dancing into WoW, and with the Orc female dance animation, I agreed with him

Whenever I see a female Orc dancing, I always make sure to type /whistle :D. And of course, holler "shake it baby!" ;)
