If I'm not washing my hair then about 15 minutes. If I am washing my hair then closer 30.

I normally take about 25 minutes. Shower time is relax time for me. What is this "If I wash my hair" bit? I wash my hair everytime I shower. I also condition my hair since not doing so means pain when trying to comb it out afterward

Me too. I can't see how washing of one's hair adds 10 minutes to a shower. I shampoo and condition every day as well and my shower time's under 10 minutes.

With longer, or thicker hair, it takes longer to wash it. Before I chopped my hair off, it took me about 5 minutes longer to wash and condition it.

I never take a shower without washing my hair.

Even when I had long hair. It just seemed like a stupid idea.

My hair doesn't need to washed everyday. I only have to wash it every second day, so I do.

It depends on people's hair. If my mom washes hers everyday it's impossible for her to handle. If I DON'T wash mine every day it becomes a greasy mess.

I said 10-15, but if I'm not in a rush to get to work and noone's home and I'm in the mood there's the nifty detachable shower head and *cough*

Also Deac, you blow dry your bits and pieces??

Oh see, my hair gets dirty at the same rate as my er, self, if not faster.

So if the rest of me needs a shower then so does my hair.

I love a good long hot shower. I don't know how some people can get in and get out so fast while acually managing to get themselves clean.

If I wash my hair everyday it gets really dry and brittle, no matter what shampoo and conditioner I use. There are natural oils that protect your hair, and if you wash too often your scalp doesn't have the time to replenish those oils, so it can be damaging to your hair.

True, some people replenish those oils much faster, but for the most part, washing your hair every day is not advised.

As for how long it takes, I have ridiculously thick, heavy, long hair. Just to get it fully wet takes a few minutes alone.

You should see my hair after 24 hours, it's pretty much stuck to my head (by the hair itself, not just the roots, smart arses).

Every other day I shampoo my hair. About once a week I condition (more often if I plan on blow drying it- which is rare)

If I go 24 hours without a shower, the hair closest to my head is noticeably more greasy gross than the rest. I won't go more than 36 hours. I just won't.

The only way I wouldn't wash my hair everyday is if it were extremely dry and the washing actually made it worse.
