I'm watching .hack//DUSK currently. Just got around to watching the first episode. The bishounen angel sword guy is pretty cool.

.hack is cool, but I always forget about it on Saturday. I'll wait until they put it on the regular toonami block.

Wombat, I very much agree that the Yu Gi Oh anime is junk, and doesn't hold a candle to the manga in the slightest, though there IS much worse out there.

Does manga count, too? If so...

1. Blade of the Immortal
2. Cowboy Bebop
3. Revolutionary Girl Utena
4. Ranma 1/2
5. Oh! My Goddess!
6. Love Hina

Really, I've only actually seen Cowboy Bebop and Revolutionary Girl Utena. The rest I read - I'm a bit of a comic-book kid.

Up until several months ago, I hadn't read much manga, as it is a bit expensive to buy the collections. But now, that's all changed. Thank you, American Shonen Jump!

Oh boy oh boy, an excuse to ramble!
First, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi aka Spirited Away... Although I haven't seen the dub yet, I don't seem to get tired of watching it no matter how many times I see it -- something that is very rare for me.

After that, Azumanga Daioh, Cowboy Bebop, Memories, Mimi o Sumaseba, Laputa, Witch Hunter Robin, Rurouni Kenshin OVA (only the first though, not Seisouhen), Crayon Shin-chan, Akazukin Chacha OVA (back story required).

I wouldn't call .hack a brilliant series, but I found it entertaining. I haven't seen the dub, but I understand that one or two of the voices are a bit off, and in a talking series that can have a pretty negative effect. Anyone who thinks .hack is an action series is missing the point...
Inuyasha is good but really begins to lose steam around episode 60 or 70.
Kenshin has its ups and downs... I prefer the more even-handed manga myself. The Kyoto Arc is quite good, however, especially the first 4 episodes.
And Naruto is awfully cute :D When all the ninjas aren't trying to kill each other, anyway ;)

At the Sacramento comic book shop (A-1 Comics)... I don't know any online comic book 'discount bins'.

You wouldn't believe all the manga they throw out in that place... It's laughable.

Series or OVAs, huh... Why not (breaking my habit of never posting here)...

Orderless:
- Magnetic Rose (part of Memories)
- Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Arc
- Slayers (mainly Next)
- Azumanga Daioh
- Witch Hunter Robin
- Cowboy Bebop

I can think of a lot more that I'd consider *really good*, but the above stand out.
