May, 3 2007 - Illuminism

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Sweet lord I don't think I've laughed out loud (Not LOL Damnit... I wage wars against 'lol') like that in a while.

Well played good sir, well played.

HA! This is exactly why I can never play those things. By the time the rule-reading stage is done, I've forgotten most of them. Call me old-fashioned, but I have no patience (or memory for that matter) anything more involved than, say, Risk or Scrabble.

That was a shockingly accurate rendition of the house. That said, Martin doesn't look like Martin :P

He looks as much like him as my style allows, really - I even based the hair on his. Perhaps I could thin it out a little in the front, but that's all I can think of.

Just use MS Paint to cut out his face and paste it over the comic character's head! :D

I missed this night but we lived vicariously through the table cam.

The only problem I have is that MB's eyes look awful. Otherwise it looks good.

Have I ever mentioned how much I absolutely enjoy RLC? I think it has to do with its artist being so involved with the forum community...

Mr Dean, I wish to congratulate you at making a series of comics that have funny inside-joke connotations, yet are funny to the general reader anyway. I've seen it attempted before. Let's just say... it doesn't always work... -_-

From yesterday's strip alone, I didn't realize it was MB, but the mention of Illuminati in the first panel gave it away (I realize his name is later, but the mention of Illuminati was enough :))

After playing it with him at the 2005 meet (and being crushed horribly in the last second because MB is a devious bastard :D), I went out and picked up a copy for myself.

In the ~2 years since, I've been able to convince people to sit down through the entirety of the rules and actually play a total of one time. I'm hoping to get a second game in this year, maybe. :)

Yeah, in the time it took them to get through the rules, we'd managed to get me drunk enough to play Karaoke Revolution, and I think we'd done 3 or 4 rounds as well. It seemed complicated.

But it's friggin' fun.

I was at work when I read this one. I had recognized myself in yesterday's comic, but to actually be named?

Yeah. I had a good day. :)
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.
