rant: there is a fluffy black cat that hangs out here, a barn cat. Well, Saturday the mouse trap in our house killed a mouse and I tossed it outside in the trash. The black fluffy cat jumped in and got the dead mouse and trotted off. Now I noticed that if he sees a mouse he expects me to kill it for him.

Rave: Cats being smarter than people give them credit for.

Rant: People with dogs disturbing me walking me cat.

Rave: Cat that puts up with being walked of an evening.
Rave: Not having to bother with any sort of lead for said walkies.

Rant: summer being busier than the school year. I have so many doc appointments to get caught up on, plus starting physical therapy (again) today, and the boss is taking all her vacations now while I'm not in school. Add to that the fact that I've been sick for the last week and a half...and I'm utterly exhausted. My busy is just cranking up, too.

Rant: Verizon - every other goddamn number I could think of has FiOS available(including one two blocks from here), EXCEPT MINE!

Rave: My tablet came in the mail! Woo hoo!

rave: My cable company. I think I'm living in bizzarro world. They made an appointment, and they KEPT IT. They arrived ON TIME. They did the work PROMPTLY. When called on the phone, they answered quickly and didn't put us on hold.

What's going on?

Rave: HY started her job at Stamford Law firm yesterday

Rant: Nothin to do all day. She works 9a-7p. Sounds like a good time for a trip to Chinatown.

Rave: Spent all day with her Mother yesterday and actually had a good time. Imagine that!

Surprisingly not. She treated me to both lunch and dinner, and paid for half of an expensive leather bag that I wanted to buy HY to celebrate her first day at the law office. She almost refused my money on the grounds that I was still a student and would feel terrible about taking my money.

Rave: Gwen's sleeping through the night!!! It's not a fluke, it's been going on for a couple weeks. 9 pm to 7 am. That's 10 freakin' hours of wonderful, uninterrupted sleep.

Rave: Swimming with Gwen. She loves it , it wears her out and makes her happy. Yay for summer!
