Found this earlier:
Drones week points:
1. Plasma Drones : ARMS
2. Vortex Drones : LEGS
3. Shock Drone : HEAD
4. Glacier Drone : TORSO
And supposedly if you destroy the part, you auto win.

Re: Build and Battle Transformers
the "you destroy you win" is true. Aaron goes for the obliteration factor - and can win in 3 rounds, at times.

Please expand on his strategy and what you mean by "Obliterate"

Oh yeah, Level 2 BABY!
So I won't be challenging any of you newbies. Just to be nice.

Re: Build and Battle Transformers
Ugh...this latest code is driving me nuts...I'm absolutely sure that 08b is a keyboard encryption scheme, and I've got the proper letters (with a small problem encountered in the bottom row that I think I've got solved) but no idea how to make a code out of them, and I'm not even going to try the top row.
If anyone cares/feels like giving it a shot the letters are (in the same order as the picture, 2 per line just like the pic):
Pink:
ei
sg
ck
mq
oa
Dull Red:
49
77
P0
a6
06
I'm sure that that 3rd row first pic with 2 dull red icons is a capital P, making the bottom row far left shift and solving the "7 letters on the bottom row on a keyboard and 8 in that pic" problem. This is much easier to be sure of now that the second dull red letter has been called an error and removed by the site runners.
I'm pretty sure it's not simply that the Pink is a code and the Dull Red another one, as the pink one is all letters and the red mostly numbers, but I have no clue how to combine 2 groups of 10 alphanumeric characters into a single one...

Re: Build and Battle Transformers
He concentrates all his attacks on a specific area (usually the torso). Once the percent that is intact reaches 0%, he wins...unless the 5 rounds are up by then. I have, however, seen him win in 3 rounds. He calls it obliterating...adciv wrote:Please expand on his strategy and what you mean by "Obliterate"
Journey, you win some, you lose some. I am currently losing more than I win, but that's ok. Remember that if you want more challenges, from us, you need to post your information so we can challenge you.

Re: Build and Battle Transformers
Binks, I tried that attack and could make nothing of it. I then started counting how many "spaces" there were beteen the maroon and pink holes. i.e., the first would be 9. Still couldn't make much of it, but I think it is a better attack.
I think this is right
9 I
9 I
15 O
18 R
12/13/3 shift L/M/C
18 R
16 P
5 E
9 I
15 O
Oh yeah, anyone know what the critical up thing does? Does it increase the chance of critical hits or the damage they do?

Re: Build and Battle Transformers
Drat! I had misread the number of kills to reach level 40 and thought I would level up at 60 kills. Nope, not until 80. Dang it!
Oh, and I got my first drone kill! Whooooo!

Re: Build and Battle Transformers
New code up...first transmission looks a bit like hex notation (0x####)...however, an interesting note, the last two lines repeat...repeatedly
Converted to binary:
1000110011101110100
1100010100100000011
10010101000101100001
100010010110000000
10000101010010000010
10000101010010000010
10000101010010000010
100010010110000000
100010010110000000
10000101010010000010
This just so happens to come out into perfect ASCII words, in other words it's perfectly divisible by 8...interesting coincidence eh? The text conversion is:
Œî˜¤TXbXT‚…H(T‚‰`"XT‚
Dividing it up we have a couple &#num; sequences that are very interesting, it seems to me that the chances of a bunch of the same style sequences appearing would be next to nothing unless they were important. There are 9 of these, most codes are 10 characters long...perhaps the '" is supposed to be another character?:
Œ
î
˜
¤
‚
…
" (For explanation see EDIT4)
‚
‰
‚
Those things look familiar to anyone? They seem to be messing up this textbox, I can't copy from that line without selecting the wrong stuff...*wanders off to look for more stuff*
PS: Feel free to use anything I say to decode the code for yourself, I care more about advancing the story than getting my name on some list
EDIT: URG! Google not let Binks search for &#! Keep ignoring #! Binks SMASH!
EDIT2: Interesting...apparently in C & functions to reference a point in memory, and #num is another hexidecimal representation (hex within hex?). That would explain the ;, I know that's often used to end lines in certain languages (not sure if C does that). So these would be references to points in memory...oh dear...8218 creates a binary number that's ASCII safe (divisible by 8 )...guess I know what I'm doing for a bit...
EDIT3: Very interesting...either I'm on the right track or going a long way down the wrong road. Taking the numbers and treating them as hex values then converting them to standard text nets me more of the same segments, more &#num;'s...my guess is that after applying this filter a couple of times I'll get down to a 10 char sequence, here's hoping
EDIT4: That didn't work, I was short 4 bits to get a binary phrase...went back and looked at the ", did a search for it and guess what turned up? the fact that " was a HTML code and that an equivalent sequence is "...that makes 10 sequences, now I just need to figure out how to turn each into an alphanumeric character...
