Rebuild Of Evangelion
I was completely unaware that last month a trailer was released for the new movie of NGE, so I thought some people here might be too. I have mixed opinions of this project, as while the animation quality for this new one looks fantastic, the creators will be summarising about 15 hours worth of episodes (plus End of Evangelion) into four 2 hour movies. Well, at least Hideaki Anno will be in charge, so It can't be as bad as the live action one that's in the works.
For the trailer go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M5F2Yr0NEw
And for info in english go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebuild_of ... nd_Release

Az, here's a webcomic you might enjoy.

To be fair, there's a lot of that 15 hours of Eva that were utter crap and could have been done away with. And stuff that took 20 minutes that were twice as long as they should have been. A lot of the "build drama" stuff can be cut out to give us more room for badass mech action.
It certainly looks interesting.

I actually liked that "build drama". I mean, if your show is going to centre around psychology, at least let your characters interact, so the audience can understand them better. I may sound like a fan boy, but I really liked every frame, and was left at the end of the series wanting more.

OMG, I hate this anime series. It epitomized everything I can't stand about the whole medium frankly.

I watched Evangellion once and liked it. I watched it again and was annoyed. I watched it a third time and swore I'd never do it again. That was something like 4 years ago and I haven't looked at it since.

I've always thought that the best way to watch NGE is to consider it a 23 episode anime... 24 if you include the End of Evangelion movie.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

Oh lordie lord, Gainax just can't stop beating this dead horse. You know they're out of ideas for Evangelion-related games when they set one in an alternative universe where all the characters are detectives.

detectives? whoa whoa what?
Re: Rebuild Of Evangelion
I never understood why people got head hurts from evangelion.
I didn't.
I mean.
In the end.
"All was well." - According to the anime.
In the end.
"Shinji will be chocked." - According to the movie.
Why would i care why exactly everyone turned into liquids? Wasn't all these after all just an "icon"...? Isn't only the feelings that count in the end?
Oh and...
Only "12 monkeys" gave me a good headhurt.
Now that...was a headspin.
I didn't.

Re: Rebuild Of Evangelion
Less anime where a pansy main character masturbates onto a girl in a coma.
More anime where giant robots do cool stuff, aka Pat Labor, Macross, etc.
