Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Seriously, dude? Yeah, he's a little bit fatter, but really, that's professional impersonator stuff right there. Awesome.

There is a guy who dresses up as Silent Bob at most of the conventions around here. If he shows up to Comic Con this weekend I'll snap a pic of him.

I thought I saw a really good impersonator at otakon 2002. Then I find out Kevin Smith attended otakon 2002. I wish I had talked to him.

Does Kevin Smith go to cons dressed as Silent Bob?

You can't see it in that photo, but the hat the guy is wearing has a Mooby logo on it. He also has a prop cigarette that has a "perma-ash" hanging on it. Other than the weight difference and the squared off ends of the hair (looks like a very good wig), I would have sworn he was Kevin Smith.

I bumped into this guy waiting outside the panel room for the Xenosaga premiere. At first, I instinctively did my whole "avert the eyes from the celebrity so he doesn't know we're staring" thing until I realized it wasn't actually him. My wife did the same. This was a very convincing cosplay.

It should be noted that the guy Greg posted is a regular here in the DFW con circuit. He usually pals around with Trunks of Trunks and Soto, who does a goddamned uncanny impression of Jay.

True story - at A-Kon 16, the two of them decided to walk in costume down to a local McDonalds for some grub.

No joke, they stopped traffic at every intersection.

I wonder how much it would cost to get the pair of them to hang out in front of my offices for, say, half an hour? *whistles innocently*

WHAT were they wearing that caused them to do that.

Then again, We had 501st Storm Troopers at our local Con, so I can imagine that it's possible.

From what I understand, that is how Kevin Smith dresses normally.

Yeah, in one of his Smodcasts he made the point of saying it was his coat long before it was Silent Bob's.
