Strip for September 4th, 2007 - Optimus Goth

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

did a quick search and could only find the name "optimus goth" on the transformers movie forums, though who knows, he could have been the one greg and liz saw;)

Yeah, I didn't get that girl either. She was running with a crew of skinny young girls all wearing what I could only describe as "Sephiroth Coats"... She was the only one in an Optimus Prime mask though. Before I even saw her, I "heard" her... She was playing around with the voice changer built into the helmet. :D Very funny comic! These last two comics (Optimus Goth and Kevin Smith) are the first time I've ever been able to share in the real-side of the Real Life joke.

So is that a hearse or "Mom's Mini Van"? cause mom's mini van is less conformist than the school bus.

It's a hearse. I thought the silver swirly thing would give it away.

The world is in pain and it was Michael Bay who caused that pain.

The statement proceeding it, however, was not.

Transformers did not suck. Get over it.

Bizarrely, during my time at Uni Optimus Prime ran for the Student Presidency. His key platform points were:
- that he had a deep booming, reasuring voice.
- that he would keep the decepticons off campus.
- that he could change into a giant truck.

Unfortunately the University had no sense of humour and demanded the candidate be removed from the ballot by dint of being fictional. But an informal exit poll revealled that had he been allowed to stand he would have won by a clear margin.

I personally feel that there was nothing redeamable about The Michael Bay Transformers movie.
This is however my entitled opinion.
I'm not normally affected by bad films but for some reason {although I try} I can not 'get over it'
I still feel bad that my money went into Michael Bay's pocket. I feel he did not deserve it.

For some reason, when I read Steave's posts, I am reminded of a certain comic.
I need fewer water.

Obviously the majority of people who paid that $300 million don't share my opinion. If someone non-Michael Bay had directed it I may have enjoyed it more and still not cared if it grossed $300 million or not. I stopped caring about other people's opinions once I had seen it for myself and developed my own.

Congratulations?

By the way, I'm "non-Michael Bay" but I don't think you would've enjoyed it had I directed it. Also, I'm not sure how old you were when Michael Bay forced himself on you or whatever else he did to cause such blind hatred, but you might want to see a therapist.

I can't see that anything I have said portays a blind hatred towards Michael Bay. I wish that he lives a trouble free life as much as I wish that upon anyone else I don't know. All I've done is respond to people who seem to feel that I'm not allowed to have my opinion.

Maybe I should have said if a director who wasn't Michael Bay had directed it but I didn't really think I needed to be so specific.

You seem to be missing the crux of my statements.
