Sept. 19, 2007 - Bloop!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Whomever invented the whole Survivor/Big Brother thing should be dragged out in the streets and shot, and I don't care which version we're talking about either, whether it's US, British, Australian, Japanese, or Swahili for all I care. Those two shows will be in Hell, I'm convinced. If I wanted to watch reality show, I'll watch a sporting event, thank you.

3. Have they done any Mythbusters on location episode? I'd for them to see flush a toilet at the Equator and see what happens to the spin...
Mark Burnett created Survivor. I'm not sure about Big Brother. It was imported from the UK I believe.

Mythbusters have indeed gone on location. They went to Florida in one episode to test a bunch of alligator/crocodile myths and I think they did some shark myths while there as well.

Yes, I think it will probably either make it better or hurt it. Aren't those pretty much the two options? :P

But yeah, seriously, is Dave on these forums? *ahem*

Well there is the option that it won't change it at all. So there is the third option, smartass. :)

Kid Nation could be a really fascinating experiment if you set it up and managed it right; but of course they both won't, and it's kinda fucked up because they'll try and make it better TV.

You know I just have to say (have to say so much that I registered just to say it) that I don't get the "TV goes away in the summer" mentality. Five years ago, that was true, sure. But when you've got Psych, Monk, Burn Notice, Mind Control with Derren Brown, Who Wants to be a Superhero, and Eureka all airing new episodes in the summer. . . Well, my wife and I jump for joy when the summer and winter half-seasons finally roll around. What's there to look forward to in the fall? An explosion of mediocore sitcoms, surreality shows, new episodes of worn out crap, and here and there a few gems (House and.. uhm..). Fall is just the harbinger of big-network drivel while the summer brings us REAL television.

(My TiVO insisted I write his opinion too: "Thank GOD it's September. These guys have been running me ragged for the last 3 months!")

I dunno, Heroes is pretty big on the top of my list. It only comes around in the winter. Although, I do like that summer shows are getting good too.
