9/20/2007 - We are go for launch!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Oh man, this one almost made me spit soda all over my laptop. I swear to god I did almost the EXACT same thing yesterday.

It's people like you two that make me want to OUTLAW FRACKING GUM! Some people don't appreciate stepping in it.

Really, you shouldn't be walking in the road.

Yaknow, cause that's the only place that was referenced in either the comic or my statement.

I don't spit it on the sidewalk when avoidable and I don't spit it on the ground in high foot traffic areas.

But you know, if people can't really be all that bothered to watch where they are walking, then they get what's coming to em IMHO.

Oh! You're right! (Or was that some other word that starts with r?) I'll keep that in mind next time I cross the street.

Mind the gum.

Really, I seem to be getting two reactions to today's comic. Those who think it was funny, and STUPID PEOPLE.

Yeah, I said it.

Try stepping in gum in your nice dress shoes on the way to an interview. But yeah, I R DUM for not looking at my feet the entire time whenever I'm walking on a public sidewalk.

STREET. Not sidewalk. In fact, not even just street - FREEWAY. I don't do it around town, 'cause you need a lot of speed to do it properly. But even then, I don't do it often - hardly ever, as a matter of fact.

People just get so butthurt about stupid shit like this.

First, it's littering.

Second, it's littering in California. Won't the cops both actually ticket for it if they catch you and charge a huge fine?

Third, you know, when I'm driving down the freeway, it's not a rock or something, but having a glob of spitty gum whip through the air and land on my car would certainly cheese me off. Especially if it stuck to the windshield. So I hope you don't do it in traffic.

Fourth, it's littering. Is it really to hard to just stick it in the wrapper or something?

Oh my god you guys are stupid. Yes, it's littering, but gum is biodegradable so it'll erode. He doesn't do it in traffic, only when we are on the freeway with no one around us. Cops aren't going to pull you over for spitting gum out of your car. If I threw a cup or something else, they would, but you can't see the fucking gum. It doesn't affect you at all. So shut the fuck up. I don't tell you what things you should do with your life, so why the hell do you think you should tell me?

Especially if it stuck to the windshield.
That would be the single best place for it to be stuck, actually, at least in as much as it's the easiest to clean effectively without chipping or stripping paint, etc.
