That's what I'm trying for. I'll know within the next day or so. I'm gonna use one of my vacation days.
Edit: Knowing your exact arrival date would help :/. Can you email me at crystal_chase at cable dot comcast dot com?

I am, crisis averted. My schedule changes the week AFTER. Actually...if you guys are interested, I may have a farewell party that Friday night. There will be rockband, and we could potentially get on xbox live and get other RLF'ers to play rock band with us.

As much fun as that sounds, we'll actually need to leave as early as possible on Friday to make the 6 hour drive to Wake Forest end at a reasonable time. Would Thursday night work?
Also, for clarification... you'll be picking him up from the airport now? Is he staying at your place that night?

Get together with me when I get home from work tonight. I work till midnight Thursday night, so it would be easy for me to drive on down to the airport and pick him up, however he'd be waiting for a little while, I think. It takes me about 30 minutes to get to the end of 400, so I could make it to the airport by 1am. After that, no problem to have him at our house unless, BtEO, you have A: Cat allergies or B: Smoke allergies. We do smoke in the house and while we wouldn't while you're there and our house isn't that bad anyway, if you have actual allergies you may have issues. We'd love to have you though, and I'll totally stay up all night and play video games/hang out with you, since I'm such a night owl anyway. I even know a great 24 hour place to get good food ^___^. (or if you want to crash I can take the laptop into the bedroom and you can take the couch.)

That can work fine, although to be honest I'm expecting to be knackered[1] by that point (unless I catch sleep on the plane); if Rkitect has a spare bed I'd almost certainly be preferring that to a couch by that point?
Rkitect: what time do you need to go to work in the morning? And how easy would it be to drop me somewhere to meet Kitsune?
Also, what time will you need me back by in the evening?
Kitsune: No allergies, and I would be happy to stay at yours — pending response to the bed question.
Bear in mind everyone I want to find the result that causes the least possible amount of hassle for all involved.
[1] Not, apparently, in my British English spellchecker... what's up with that?

We do have a spare bed. I will need to be at work between 8:30-9am the next morning (but we tend to stay up late anyhow, so that's no big deal). It would be as easy as setting up a meeting place to meet Kits. We would be leaving as early as possible on Friday which can be anywhere between 5-6pm. We will most likely have the car packed and ready to go Friday morning before heading out, so we could just pick you up from Kits' or where ever you are when we're ready to leave.
FYI: add 6 hours to the time we leave for arrival time at sleeping destination for Friday night/Saturday morning. Not that it matter since you'll probably be snoozing in the car
Kits, want to meet up at Intermezzo Thursday night after work?

Call me, our new apartment is like 5 minutes from there. It'd be easier for you to just drop him off there.

Assuming, again, that he wants the couch over the bed

Let me see if I'm following this correctly, the night I arrive you'll be meeting Kits. What type of joint is this Intermezzo? If I could be integrated into the fun post midnight that sounds interesting.
I am an expert at staying up far later than I should. The last time I met RLF folk I ended up going near 30 hours without proper sleep.
And actually the more I think about it; if I'm going to be tired I'm not going to get fussy if I sleep on a bed, a couch, or cold concrete (this is NOT a suggestion.

) But if you aim to have the car packed before you head to work I may still be better off at yours.

There's another place 5 minutes from me that has the best breakfast in atlanta, and it's open 24/7. I love Buckhead. They also have delicious delicious coffee.

OK.. so the consensus is that Pickel, Kits and I are going to meet you at the airport, BtEO, and take you to grab some food. We'll then make sure you have everything you need for your day with Kits on Friday, leaving everything else packed in the wagon. Pickel and I will then meet you and Kits somewhere (yet to be determined) Friday on our way out of town.
There are a few things we have to work out, specifically plans on getting our dog down to the in-laws, but I think this is what works best.
