I actually checked the allowed website before mom and I left and yes, knitting needles are allowed. They don't even have to be plastic.

Well, what's the worst a girl with knitting needles could do...crochet an ugly pink hat with cat ears for you?

Have you ever seen a pair of metal knitting needles? You could seriously hurt someone with them.

There are so many things wrong with this sentence on a technical basis alone...

So nail clippers and bottled water are some kind of terrorist threat, but knitting needles are fine? Colour me baffled.

My mom brought a pair of sewing scrissors with her about 2 inches long. According to the list they are ok as long as they are under 3 inches. We didn't have any problems until the Osaka airport. They actually dug through her purse, took them out, pulled out a ruler, and measured them. Of course they were ok, so they gave them back and said have a nice day.

I love to race those airport wheel chairs. Oddly enough I've never been bothered about it.

Doing commentary work on the flight schedule/information screens is a great way of passing time too. "Yes Dan, it looks like the Delta team is struggling to keep up with the boys of Lufthansa. We'll have to await the results of the 3:15 landing round to see if they can make adjustments and even things up."

By the way, Infin8Cyn, great sig.
