25 January 2008 - Upgrades

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

See, I remember watching it on PBS when i was a kid.

Maybe it was brought to PBS after it was shown on HBO.

I remember it being on the same channel as The Muppet Show. I think it was on Disney and (A/N)BC for a while as well. Probably Nickelodeon too. (All reruns, though)

I was actually old enough to remember watching new episodes. What with being 31 and all that.

You kids. I dug Fraggle Rock before it was cool.

I"m only a year younger, Dreamer. I remember watch them, but don't know if they were new or not. Probably. :) I also remember watch 3-2-1 Contact, Garfield and Friends, and Muppet Babies!

Fraggle rock was on hbo? Whoa. I watched it as a kid too, and we never had hbo. If you really have the fraggle rock theme as your horn, that is so awesome.

Ahh Muppet Babies I remember that too, good times. Freakazoid, Tiny Toon Adventures (United states, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Haiti, Jamica, Peru, Republic Dominican, Cuba, Caribbean and El Salvidor too!), Thundercats, nostalgia is great.

I watched Fraggle Rock when we would get the free Disney weekend. You guys remember those?

Luckily, our car still has the same horn. I don't even think there is a Fraggle Rock horn sound out there. :(

The free Disney weekends. Oh heck yeah.

I swear, we'd check every other day to see if it was free. And when it was it was like Christmas!

And something would always scroll at the bottom saying it was free for a few days or something.

We probably still have movies on VHS that were recorded during a free HBO or whatever weekend. And you can tell by the ticker. Hahaha.

That sounds like a challenge to me, there, missy.

I don't ever remember watching Fraggle Rock until I was way past the age when I would have been interested in it; I did, however, have a lot of Fraggle Rock books. And now I feel even more geeky than I already knew I was...

Well you've just been proven wrong. I found a whole slew of programmable car horns that you can set to play any song you can think of. And yes, that includes... Gasp... FRAGGLE ROCK! :o

All listed horns are preprogrammable with custom horns, except for this one weird one that acts as an iPod speaker.

Greg, if you're going to do a Fraggle Rock horn, you should really do the Honk of Honks, which occurs when all the Fraggle Horns blast together. I found some audio and cut it up and uploaded it for you. You could actually do this one with musical horns, and it could still sound like a real (ornate) car horn.

There is no way I'm allowing anyone to do anything like that to a car I drive. While it's a funny idea, it would be retarded in execution.

BTW, Greg isn't around this weekend, so don't expect any responses from him. :(

This is off topic, but...

Liz, I just noticed... Your location still says 'San Francisco.' Same with Greg's. I think a little change is in order, no?

I never watched Fraggle Rock either, aside from a few rare occasions. Muppet Babies was awesome though.
