25 January 2008 - Upgrades

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Considering the fact that even as a child I rarely watched that series, I think I'm allowed to forget a thing or two.

I mean...I had forgotten about Toxic Avenger...but I didn't really watch that series much anyway. :P

High enough that I wish they would replace most Saturday morning cartoons with it. But I think that says more about the sad state of children's programing today than it does about Fraggle Rock.

On a tangent to this topic, I have to ask, "How many new Scooby Doo shows do they think kids will find cool anyway?" The ones on Cartoon Network are more poorly written than the original Scooby Doo mysteries, and the ones where Shaggy and Scooby "get a clue"...well, the less said about that, the better. At least none of them have, well, I probably shouldn't say anymore lest they get any more stupid ideas.

Let's face it, the poor quality of today's children's programming is merely a reflection of the quality of programs for adults too. A few good cartoons, but not nearly enough.

Oh, and finally, I'm wasn't that impressed with Fraggle Rock when I was a kid. Sorry, I wasn't. I'm more impressed now than I was as kid.

Speaking of poor quality cartoons... most kids i know these day KNOWS how to get Fansubbed Animes. And they rather to go through the trouble downloading than watching cartoon networks poorly dubbed animes.

Heck, they kill all theme songs, for very least.
When in doubt, shoot.

My first experience with the Fraggles came via their animated show on NBC. I always enjoyed Uncle Max's skewed look at the world.

Made my day lady, made my day.

I was so young when I first watched Fraggle Rock that there was an episode that scared me. I rewatched that episode recently and can't fault myself for being scared. It's the episode where there's a big clam shaped rock which sucks Fraggles into it and they are never seen again.

I also had the nickname of Fraggle Rock in highschool. Caused by leaning from over the top bunk to talk to someone on first year camp. This cause my long hair to supposedly look like a Fraggle's.

You FAIL at remembering cartoons. First this song is from Animaniacs, not Tiny Toon Adventures. And second you left out Greenland.

But hey you got me to say something on here which I almost never do. :D
