That's called a Cement Mixer, though it's usually made with lime juice. You have to be quick, so that it mixes in your mouth, rather than the shot glass, 'cause it's more fun that way.

Eating a spoonful of cinnamon is a great way of clearing out congestion.

I prefer dry and spicy peppers for that purpose.

Seriously. I used to eat dried hot peppers before going on the air, back when I did college radio. Helped to keep my voice clear, especially when I was getting over a cold.

Really spice Thai food will do that too. I will sometimes eat one of those really tiny hot peppers, seeds and all. Love the stuff, even if I can barely tolerate it.

While we are on the subject of noses. You can't sneeze with your eyes open. I tried once, it didn't work out so well.

They wrote a book with that title that has all kinds of little funny random facts about the human body. I break it out at least once every couple of months for a good laugh.

Doing what on purpose? If you're suggesting that I'm looking for any post you make and then making an effort to contradict it, I'm not. I do that whenever I see something that needs correcting.

And since my last post got shot down in a ball of flame, here's a new random fact.

And anyways, about the whole myth busters thing. He had to HOLD his eyes open with his fingers to keep from closing them. If you are going to point out every single thing that is wrong on the internet then you should really have looked up something better than that, which I found. So don't think that I am just saying this because I don't like being proven wrong. I don't care to be proven wrong, it just lets me learn something new. But really, I would have used something better than someone having to hold their eyes open physically. Some people have trained themselves to keep their eyes open while they sneeze, just like you can control your gag reflex. So I am, in fact wrong, but not for the reasons you said.
