Am I really a newbie?

Post by Chiaro » Thu Feb 21, 2008 9:14 pm

I remember, I was either in grade five or six. Four years ago. I read (and still do) RLC on a daily basis, and being a forum junkie, I joined the RL Forums. I dunno why I never posted, but I never did, and the account fell through the cracks.

Now it's 2008. Entered high school and a friend of mine is really into RLC. I remembered the old days spent reading through the archives and decide to join the forums. But what's this?

My email address is taken?

I do a quick search on my Gmail account and see a welcome message to the boards...from 2004. The account name? "TehShiznit".

Um...no thanks.

So I requested a name change, because while normally I would just reregister, this account is four years old. I don't want it to be deleted. It reminds me of how long I've loved the comic.

So in conclusion, hi, I'm Chiaro.

I've had my Hotmail address since Hotmail ran on Unix servers.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

You mean back when it was HoTMaiL and MS hadn't raped it and it wasn't a spamtrap?

I don't know how long I've had my hotmail... Well... I got in my firs tyear in college, so proabbly 95? Maybe 96? 12 years, is that long?

Jesus I'm getting up there. I never thought I'd be able to say things about myself from that long ago... le sigh.

EDIT: Nope, August 11, 2000. After college. Used my "mail.edu" e-mail at college. Man that one sucked. so it's only been a little over 7 years for me after all. Not that bad.
My sig would have contained the secret of life, but I'd already clicked submit.
