Hi everyone, I'm Jon. I live in the Portland, Oregon area. I've been reading RealLife for a couple years now. I usually read the comic at work, but I'll actually have to start reading at home starting in April, because the company that I'm working at now is moving to Chicago and I really don't feel like moving with them. Don't worry, this is a good thing, as I'm really not doing anything at this job and it's actually really boring.
Pretty much the only thing that gets me through the day is my web comics. I read about 60 web comics (and the list keeps growing) throughout the week, updating on different days. If anyone wants to maybe broaden their web comic horizons and doesn't know where to start, I'd be more than happy to make a suggestion. You can shoot me a friend request at myspace.com/pelamingo. Make sure to let me know that you found my page here, or I might not add you. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable when it comes to web comics, or at least reading them. I'd like to start a web comic of my own some day, so if anyone has any advice they can give me, I'd be very grateful.
Other than that, there's not a whole lot else to me. I'm a huge nerd. Mostly just a gamer nerd, but I branch out into other forms of nerd-dom every once and a while. I bought myself an Xbox 360 for Christmas, so that's been taking up a lot of my time. I still hop on WoW every once in a while. Probably about once or twice a week. Probably more often now that I figured out a way to supply internet to my Xbox and my PC at the same time without having to move the cable back and forth between the two. I'm Roqueswift on the Doomhammer server if anyone wants to party up with me sometime. I'm currently trying to break into table top gaming. Anyone else who's trying to do the same should check out the book "Kobalds Ate My Baby." Hilarious book and it's kind of like a watered down version of table top gaming.
And if this post is any indication, I tend to get a little rambly when it comes to anything text related. I used to be pretty big into writing. It's the easiest way for me to communicate my thoughts. Interesting how my fingers are so much further away from my brain than my brain than my mouth, but they work like ten times better for communication. I feel I should end this post here before the rambling gets any worse. And all I initially wanted to do was post something about todays comic. Funny. Anyways, that's me and that's why I'm here.
Glad to finally be part of the forums,
Jon

Nice name. Welcome to the Ziggurat, I mean forum. Don’t walk on the grass or spit on the sidewalks and you’ll be alright.
