I kinda figured that the spirit of the original post was self-evident. It is a reasonable assumption that a person joining this thread understands that this is a discussion of non-nerd activities. The fact that my specific examples did not cover all activities known to be nerdy doesn't represent an oversight on my part.

Oh, and FYI, my non-nerd activities are sailing, rock climbing, and photography.

Why did you offer what seemed like an operational definition if you didn't want to use it?

I chose the most obvious examples. However, I didn't think that they would be taken as all-inclusive.

"This one is simple. What do you all do that doesn't involve computers, web comics, and internet?"

That seems like a pretty clear operational definition.

Compare it to something like "what do you do that doesn't involve nerdy things like"...

... and surely you can't not see how it could be seen that way.

Semantics. Does it count as nerdism? It's fun, at least. :P

"The Anti-nerd thread."

Is this too subtle? Anyways, I'll concede the point on overly-narrow definition.

Fat people drinking beer and doing nothing productive with their lives? Wait, how does that NOT sound like a computer nerd to you?

Fuck bowling, ESPECIALLY in the midwest.

You just fucking described half of the free time activities of half the population of the US. Get rid of the fat people part, and you get closer to ninety percent.
