Yo!

Post by stonemaiden » Sun Mar 30, 2008 1:12 am

Well, I guess I'm new to the forums, although I've been reading the comic forever and a day. :D I went to the meetup today and got asked "So who are you on the forums?" and had to answer... nobody. So, I'm going to start participating in the forums! Yay!

I'm Monica. I'm 24, born, raised, and still living in Austin, TX. I'm a geek and super proud of it. I play WoW, but pretty much suck at it. (I'll never get to 70...) I uh... read. All the time. Seriously. I'm about to dive into the Foundation series for the second time. After that, I have to read 2001 because I just saw the movie for the first time (it's quite comfy here under the rock) and was confused as hell, so I figured I'd better read the book. I share a teensy apartment with my two cats, Walky (named after the title character from a certain other webcomic) and Pixie. They run the place, really.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand... I guess I'm done. Bye now.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

You read Asimov, and that makes you okay in my book. Mind, Hitler could read Asimov, and I'd think he was a great fellow, so perhaps I should change my criteria for what makes a person good.

The novel version of 2001 isn't going to clear up much. However, it does not have the 17-hour-long psychedelic sequence.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

Yeah, I actually uh... fell asleep at that part. Then I woke up at the very end with the freaky baby thing. My dad explained it, more or less, but then he beat me about the head and shoulders with the book. So... must read. :D

The movie was a "best of" classical music collection with some video sequences. The book actually had a story and plot.
