Truly made me laugh out loud that time...
I actually saw one of those spectral type storms up in ND... the clouds were GREEN! and we had a huge tornado later that day... Gotta love the freeky weather these days.

From what I've heard, those green clouds probably WERE the tornado.I actually saw one of those spectral type storms up in ND... the clouds were GREEN! and we had a huge tornado later that day... Gotta love the freeky weather these days.

Oddly enough, Spike TV was showing the first Ghostbuster Movie tonight. And I got in right at the "There is no Dana, there is only Zhul" line. Weird.

I'm reminded of one of the "23 Questions I Ask Everybody I Meet In Order To Decide If I Can Really Love Them" from Chuck Klosterman's Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs:
Why the 7th best Bill Murray movie of all-time (blathersby loves Bill Murray. Bill Groundhog-Day-Ghostbustin'-ass Murray) reminded me of this I have no idea. You meet the perfect person. Romantically, this person is ideal: You find them physically attractive, intellectually stimulating, consistently funny, and deeply compassionate. However, they have one quirk: This individual is obsessed with Jim Henson’s gothic puppet fantasy The Dark Crystal. Beyond watching it on DVD at least once a month, he/she peppers casual conversation with Dark Crystal references, uses Dark Crystal analogies to explain everyday events, and occasionally likes to talk intensely about the film’s “deeper philosophy.”
Would this be enough to stop you from marrying this individual?

I don't see how that's a problem. The Dark Crystal's pretty good.

Dark Crystal is pretty good, but to hear about it on a regular basis? Do they want/expect me to watch it WITH them once a month? I dunno man...

If he's stalking David Bowie, then you have a problem.

David Bowie was in the Labryinth, not dark crystal...

Ampersand is not the first person to make that mistake in my hearing within the last 24 hours. The other was a friend who was talking about "That Jim Henson movie with David Bowie in it ... what's it called?" "Labyrinth?" "No, the other one that came out around the same time." "Dark Crystal?" "Yeah, that's it!"serindela wrote:David Bowie was in the Labryinth, not dark crystal...
Honestly, how hard is it to tell these films apart? One of them stars a nubile Jennifer Connelly and cinema's most memorable codpiece. The other stars two puppets who look like what might happen if Kermit shagged a hobbit.
