Oh so only the people who don't show ignorance have freedom of speech. That's you thenI don't believe in the freedom of speech for the ignorant. And you've shown yourself to be ignorant.
After all, what do you care, Aussie? You're not in the U.S. ... go eat a Koala.
We do have freedom of speech in our country, its not written into the constitution or a 'bill of rights'. Its written into all of our legal documents and BAR rules.
Do your research first
Can we add "knowing who Friedrich Nietzsche is" to that somewhere?
"Read the works of Nietzsche", yes. Knowing who is not enough compared to knowing full well about. Though I'll confess I've read only scant papers about him, not by. Bad Shroomie. Bad!
Bygones. I hope the last two posters above me realize that if at least one of them isn't joking, then they really should reconsider their conversational habits and logical thought process.

I love how everyone in religious discussions says "I'm right, you're wrong, it's just true".
Like there is ANY WAY on earth that you could KNOW for certain that God exists, or, for that matter, doesn't.
The simple fact is that it goes way beyond all of our understanding.
If you're anti bible, then good for you. If you believe it, then also, good for you.
It has its good and bad areas.
Yes, it teaches you right from wrong, not to steal or cheat, but then it also tells you to stone to death anyone who wears polyester. I'll quote it if you ask me.
In short, ANY argument on this kind of topic is inherently pointless. You can't change people's beliefs, and arguing like that is like competing in the special olympics: Even if you win, you're still retarded.

Sloth: Am I a year behind already?

February was some lyrics or quotes month or something. I don't even remember what year all this was.

Any illogical and irrational arguement done by an agent is pointless. And since most logical and rational persons view their beliefs as ideas rather than stone-written concepts, if you make a valid and true enough case for your opinion, most would eventually conced the point.
And forget the polyester. There is something about certain fabric and shellfish in the bible, but I can't think of the section. which sucks, because I used to quote the damn thing plent of times. But it wasn't a very apt point in the context, anyway.
And nice try, Spoon, but you're quoting out of context.

Actually, the way I see it, anything CAN exist. As long as someone believes that something exists, it does, at least to them. To apply this to theology, if you believe in god then god exists for you. If you don't believe in god then god doesn't exist for you. Those who believe in god will see miracles. Those who don't will see scientific phenomena. It's simple really, it's just all in your head.Gowerlypuff wrote:Like there is ANY WAY on earth that you could KNOW for certain that God exists, or, for that matter, doesn't.

/me takes a bow.
Thank you. Thank you. Let me tell you this is a great honor. I still don't know what I'm going to do with the internet, but I'll figure it out someday. Or I could just give it to one the girls here on the forums.
