I only had to parent a 5 lb sack of flour, and that was for...um...AP Psych. I guess the assignment had a point, but damned if I can remember what it was.
I wasn't really attached to my baby sack of flour, but I did want to do the assignment properly. And that, dear friends, is how I ended up at band practice playing my marimba while wearing a papoose with a sack of flour in it.

Were you ever tempted to make some sort of baked good and bring it to class, calling them, say, "baby cookies"?wocket wrote:I only had to parent a 5 lb sack of flour, and that was for...um...AP Psych. I guess the assignment had a point, but damned if I can remember what it was.

Baby Think it Over:
http://www.sexetc.org/story/teen_parenting/2175
I think this story is truly ironic.
http://blog.mlive.com/saginawnews/2007/ ... ver_1.html
Our assignment was in Freshman year, and it was a part of our health class. Every freshman had to take said class and about half of it was dedicated to sex ed. (Even though we had sex ed every year since about 5th grade.)

Some people should probably get an exemption from the assignment.

Considering that I had sex-ed worked into the curriculum in both my Catholic Junior and Senior High Schools I'd like to know where you get the idea that sex ed is feared by Catholic parents.StruckingFuggle wrote:

Yo Mav, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish but Hirschoff had the best sig trends of all time.

Seriously. I'm pretty sure being Catholic had nothing to do with this.Seir wrote:Considering that I had sex-ed worked into the curriculum in both my Catholic Junior and Senior High Schools I'd like to know where you get the idea that sex ed is feared by Catholic parents.StruckingFuggle wrote:

This is just some good old fashioned 'legendary fail' on the part of the teens.
The receipe for legendary fail...
50% LOL
50% OMG
50% WTF
That's right, 150 % is required for legendary fail status. I'm pretty sure this story fits all three requirements.

/shrug
Personally experience coupled with the fact that Catholics in general, and especially their church for sure, have a rather unhealthy attitude towards sex.
/recovering catholic
(heh, ever notice how the only ex-members of a faith who call themselves 'recovering' are Catholics? :p)
But yea I realize my statement was made without much in the way of supporting evidence. One reason I state it wasn't really a serious comment.

Come on Fuggle. Don't blame Catholicism for your inability to get any.

Pff, I don't blame Catholicism for anything other than making me a better person when I left the church.Rorschach wrote:Come on Fuggle. Don't blame Catholicism for your inability to get any.
