6/23/08: And Blu-Ray's better too, I guess

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

You should get a little wireless alarm to attach to them, vixendrop.

Im personally waiting for 4D!

Then again, I think that'd be an awesome thing to do; make a 3D game that works with those glasses.

<putting aside my fangirl tendencies>
If right now I had to choose to get a PS3 or a 360 it would be a tough call for me. The graphics are better on the PS3, but not enough to be too terribly noticeable. The 360 has more games now but many of the games I will want are going to be on the PS3. The 360 is also cheaper, but the PS3 will last me longer.

Although eventually I will get a PS3 simply for blu-ray. Have you seen blu-ray? Amazing.

Meanwhile, I've jokingly considered selling a kidney for a PS3 and MGS4. If they could grow back in a year I'd SO hock one... :O /me funds stem cells ... ahem. Anyway! I was just saying, using your words, that I want a PS3... but right now just for MGS4. :(

I too have a wired Xbox 360 controller, but I bought it for my PC long before I got my console. At the time the PC didn't have the wireless receiver as an option so it had to be wired. This is helpful too because Microsoft's drivers suck next to the third party ones I use — but last I knew they only worked with the wired controllers.

Metal Gear Solid is just a movie where you occasionally press a button to move the storyline along. No thanks.

I wouldn't really agree with this summary. But speaking of a Metal Gear Solid movie.

Yeah, if you're willing to fork out more for the charging dock but then it's not only a few extra bucks, it's close to double the price of a wired controller.

And the charge doesn't last "extremely long". It tends to last in the region of 20 hours, which is long, but by no means "extremely" so.

You're also avoiding the "lighter and more comfortable" aspect.

EDIT: And while I like the P90 feel, it's not worth the inconvenience of making sure I have batteries available, then going to get them from wherever I leave them.

Or just the five dollar cord with the rechargeable pack that makes it essentially a wired controller while it is charging.
And the charge doesn't last "extremely long". It tends to last in the region of 20 hours, which is long, but by no means "extremely" so.
And you play games for more than 20 hours non stop!? Maybe there are other issues you need to take care of.
You're also avoiding the "lighter and more comfortable" aspect.
Oh, please. That 2.5 oz is not going to make a big difference. I use both and hardly notice a difference.

Just a note on the weight difference... I wish to present a little tidbit of information.
Once [Tiger] Woods tried out four drivers that Nike was experimenting with and told the lab guys that he preferred the heavier one. The researchers thought the clubs were the same weight, but they measured and Woods was right. The club he’d selected was heavier by the equivalent of two cotton balls.
Some people are more sensitive than others. You never know who will or won't detect the weight difference.

And some people are just picky assholes. You're holding a gamepad, not something as precise as a golf club. The weight difference doesn't really matter, unless you happen to have really weak arms or something.
