Rechargeable batteries aren't really all that expensive. I have six AA NiMH batteries charged for spare and a pair of AAAs. I do not keep a spare for my laptop because I rarely use the battery anyway (I only use it at work and home, where I have available power sockets). I spent about $20-$30 altogether for all my spare batteries.

How's that a positive aspect of PS3 ownership? Overlord has been out on 360 and PC for over a year now.

They are about $10, or you can get the charge kit (I think like $25) and it comes with one.

In the manner to which you're accustomed:
1) You're a closed minded prick who shouldn't be allowed near a forum.

Funny you should say that, because I've been on this forum for around eight years, and five years on another forum and you're the first to complain about it.

2) Broke =/= Tight.

I'm broke too, but I'm willing to pony up the extra because it's worth not having cables to trip over/to tangle up/to be able to play from longer distance/for pets to chew.

3) Once every few days is considerably more often than I'm willing to waste my time on when the alternative is never.

You have a phone don't you? How often do you need to charge it? Not only would it probably be more often than the 360's controller, but you usually have to spend a few hours with it tethered to the wall until it's finished charging, whereas changing the 360's batteries only takes a few seconds to install.

4) I don't know where you're getting your "cool factor" idea from, but whether or not wireless is cooler, if you have to rely on your Xbox controller to affirm your coolness then you've got considerably larger problems.

Whoa, ease up there tiger. I'm talking about the controller's cool factor, not my own. I'm a technophile after all, so the fact that the controller looks and performs like a wired, yet is entirely wireless and allows me to play video games with my hands behind my back impresses me to no end.

5) If you care so much about reliability, it's worth commenting on the fact that (and this coming from an Xbox fan) you own one of the least reliably games consoles for a long time.

Setting aside the Xbox 360's notoriously bad case of the gremlins (though I and no one else I personally know have had a red ring yet), I was talking about the reliability of the wireless controller. See, in the past wireless devices were infamous for being unreliable, they'd lose signal for no reason and simply fail to report some of your actions. This would be disastrous for a gaming console, yet I've never once had anything of the sort on the 360, which is most impressive. I assumed you were hinting at past wireless devices being unreliable as to the reason why you didn't like the 360's wireless controllers.

There's also one thing we're forgetting: The "Play 'n' Charge kit". Wireless most of the time, wired when it needs charging. Best of both worlds baby.

Overlord 2? Do you mean Overlord: Raising Hell? Because that's just the original Overlord with the Raising Hell expansion pack (which is on Xbox Live Marketplace) built in. Last I heard, there wasn't a proper sequel to Overlord announced yet.

I guess...? It's still a sad state of affairs when the only upcoming release PlayStation fans can get excited about is a game that came out last year on the 360, with new content that's also already out on the 360.

I don't have a PS3 of my own, but my friend has one and whenever I go over there we proceed to get very drunk and play this weird game called "Monsters". It's truly a pointless game and VERY addicting.

Personally - I LOVE the Wii. I'd play nintendo games all day long. Yeah I play and enjoy other games but no one quite does it for me like nintendo <3
