Beat my Bookworm score

Post by Smaointe » Thu May 08, 2003 9:43 pm

Here is my current high score:

Image

Note: I stupidly opened a URL in an ICQ message, and it went
over the top of the Bookworm browser window - I lost my game at
495K+, with no red tiles, and a great board still going. I cried. Lots.
I guess I'll have to try for 500K another day.

Some of my longest words so far: JUVENILE, NARCOTIC, ORACLES, DOMICILE.

Highest scoring word so far: AUTHORS for 4420 points.

Never played Bookworm? You can find it here: http://www.popcap.com/gamepopup.php?theGame=bookworm

I prefer Dinky Bombs.

Bookworms won't do profanity, and I so wanted to use the euphemism for fecal matter.

I hate that game, but I showed this to my dad and he's like "showoff." He plays it lots.

Damnit, smaointe. The best I could do was marine. What's the difference from one level to the next? I played three levels and it seemed to stay the same.

Impressive.. I've only been able to get 60,000 or so.. good job! :)

Edit: 141,930.

This is so addictive, it's dangerous.

Damn you Smaointe, hours of sleep lost to that challenge

Edit: Ok, for some reason my screenshot will not display. For the record, and until someone tells me how to fix this friggin thing,
Score = 587,920
Rank = Thesaurus rex

Second edit: Changing the extension from lower to upper case, of all things. Sheesh!

You're using deluxe, I'm using basic.

I don't think the scores can be compared - deluxe has two extra types of bonus tiles.

I've only seen one (the sapphire one), and its only appeared once.
I cant seem to get the basic version to load on my screen.

THIS GAME IS EVIL!

It's ruining my life! I haven't done anything constructive since I discovered this game earlier today... and it hates me!

It refuses to accept words longer than eight letters! And I had the world's most awesomest word too!

QUIXOTICALLY - two gold tiles, and one green. Would have been mega points... but it doesn't like long words. Bah.

I still got 'quixotic'... but it was only like 2000 points. Nothing really special.

Oh, and my best score... not great, but I reached 200k or so. I'll have to play some more...

That would have been AWESOME, Gawyn! (:

Longest I've had is 9 I think.

My best words so far:
Sadistic
Chicory
Valiant
Harlot
Vortex

Words I wish it had accepted:
Narnia
Hades
Arab

Still nowhere NEAR the Smaointe's score.
