I expected it to end that way. I was hoping it wouldn't, but I knew it would.

I have a question about the ending. After the Death Ray, did all of that REALLY happen? I'm thrown into doubt, especially with the very last scene of him sitting there looking depressed and slightly disheveled.

He just caused the death of the gal he liked. You expect him to be happy about that?

Depends. Is he a necromancer or into necrophilia?

Well, what I mean is: Does he really sit with Bad Horse and all the other members, does he become a successful villain, or does he sit and mope and be depressed cause he killed the woman he loves?

My interpretation of the ending was that he did, indeed, go on to join The Evil League of Evil, and commit heinous acts of villainy. But as the last song mentioned, he feels nothing, and appears in plain clothes after retiring. He was a villain, but he was an idealist villain, he did his stuff because he felt what he was doing would make the world a better place in the long run. But after Penny died, he stopped feeling for the world, and evil for the sake of evil only appeals to villains like the Joker, who revel in chaos.

I interpreted the ending to mean
Spoiler: (click to reveal/hide)
now that he is int he ELE he has to be Dr. Horrible all the time, whereas before he was Billy most of the time and only Dr. Horrible once in a while. Therefore, the only place where he can be Billy and let his true emotions out is in private/on his blog.

Oh, it seems Dr Horrible is still available for free on Hulu (as one video or three parts).

Edit: Also, The Guild.

Apparently no one uses "fuck X" as a method of casual dismissal of something other than people I know, as a shorthand "well, now I don't care about X" or such. Hm. Well ... fuck it. :)

Also, even to me, your statement makes no sense... but throwing it back verbatim is pretty standard as far as windmills go. Hm. 2/11.

Also, "evil league of evil"? now, I know the best possible organization name is already taken (Guild of Calamitous Intent) by a couple guys who're better than you, Mr. Whedon (which isn't to say you're bad, just that few people are gonna beat the guys behind The Venture Bros.), but seriously, you could at least try...

You certainly give a lot of attention to things you don't care about.

Heh.

Now, this may be a bit difficult to understand, but just because I didn't care overmuch about supporting the project due to their method of distribution - something that, now, has changed, due to their method of distribution changing; I do care about their method of distribution, as possibly evidenced by the discussion here. Now, I know, it can be hard to separate one from the other, but just try.

Or perhaps you mean commenting on the name, well ... I'm sure a couple seconds of reading a paragraph and a fairly instant reaction constitutes a "lot of time" in your world, but it's a fairly... special... little world, you unique snowflake you. Or the post? Thirty seconds, tops.

(Hmm ... By the way, I'm not sure that comparisons to tv are entirely accurate, due to the presence of reruns and televised episodes free to the viewer on the internet. Well, free beyond the little nominal effort needed to ignore their some-weird-venn-mixture of stupid, offensive, obnoxious, and misdirected advertising whose diagram circles vary from advert to advert.)
