Re: Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
What Mr. Strucking is trying to say is that regardless of good intentions, if you're planning on charging for something it's not right to give out a free sample, or preview. It should be all or nothing, and the internet is no place for experimenting with different methods of distribution that cater to both markets, just in case he's got his head under a rock and misses something that the entire rest of the internet knew about before the free preview period was over.

Re: Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
Mr. Spanky, here, and a lot of people, seem to have a weird definition of 'sample', and 'preview', wherein a "preview" of something can be the same thing as "the whole of" something, and a "sample" is "all of it". Generally, those words would imply a small part of something, a single mouthful of a food, a scene of a movie, thirty seconds of a song, not the whole plate, film, tune.Sir Spankspeople wrote:What Mr. Strucking is trying to say is that regardless of good intentions, if you're planning on charging for something it's not right to give out a free sample, or preview.
As has already been addressed, I could have been sure, samples and previews are fine. Now, that raises an interesting question of at what point sample / preview starts to stop being fine, and become something more, but I figured I'd be the only one who'd want to go there, let alone even think of that. It seems a rather Fuggle question.

Though Sir Spankspeople's comment was very clearly a nicely sarcastic and maybe a little subtle. Heh.

Yeah, I watched it again last night. It is really good. This is going to be a must buy DVD... but that was a given the moment it hit the net.

Well rumour from Comic-con is that there may be more Horrible coming down the pipe eventually.

I really like the Evil League of Evil. Fake Thomas Jefferson? Bad Horse? Good stuff..
*watched it for free on hulu, although I liked it so much I think I will purchase the DVD.*
Also, did anyone else notice all the music was basically played on a keyboard? At first I thought it was kind of lame but in retrospect I think it's kind of neat.
