Shirt Ninja Figurine
Re: Shirt Ninja Figurine
Oh.
My.
Freakin'.
Deity.
I'm looking at it, but I don't believe it.
I've opened the box, but I can't get my head round it.
I'm holding it, and after, what? Two and a half years? Three and a half years...
It's, it's...
/can hardly bring himself to say it
It's HERE!
The little guy stealthed his way across the atlantic, and snuck over to North London, but fell at the last hurdle by trying to hide behind the flowerpot outside our front door.
Greg. Liz. I can't begin to imagine how much grief this has caused you, but from this recipient's point of view...
It was SO worth it.
Cheers guys!

The waiting is the hard part. Then you just accept that it may happen one day and put it to the back of the mind. Then, out of the blue...

Wooooooooooooo!

Wooooooooooooo!

about once a month now, this has woken me up in the middle of a really nice dream, I think "Why am I awake...." then it dawns on me.. "I need my shirt ninja on my desk, just.. there..." I swear this is driving me nuts slowly. >.<
I know you guys have had a horrible time getting these things done and shipped, I just pray mine will arrive soon.. Can get a night sleep then!
Now, back to bed again (3:37 am now...) Off to work in 3 hours, woot, ^-^

It's literally keeping you up at night??

Re: Shirt Ninja Figurine
Ahahaha, holy crap. Weirdest experience I've had in so long.
I won't lie, I stopped reading Real Life about a year ago. Not because of anything to do with Real Life though; I simply dropped off the face of the internets for a while and never got around to returning to my old reads when I finally found more time to be online.
So when I got a phone call from my dad last week to tell me that "some package is here for you mate, it's got 'real life' or something like that on the box."
My brain broke. I had no idea what he was talking about. Real Life? A box? I'd been expecting some packages, but that one wasn't ringing any bells.
BAM, some cogs kicked over again and I suddenly remembered. Holy crap, he's talking about... wow, yes, he's talking about the Real Life Comics statuette that I ordered... what must it have been, three years ago?
I'd honestly forgotten about it. At some point I must have written it off as a loss I wasn't going to bother chasing up, and it must have disappeared from my mind not long after that.
Greg and team, top work on the statue, it looks outstanding and it feels like top-qualify craftasmanship.
I can't say I'll ever be likely to go in on another Real Life pre-order, but I'm nonetheless stoked to have statuette number 14 out of 100, and a sweet Certificate of Awesometicity.
There's now a shirt ninja on a bookshelf in a random home in Melbourne, Australia. That's gotta be worth somethin'.
Cheers!

It's much like trying not to watch a toaster until it pops, only longer.
