Rant: Even after cleaning the disk, Conker Live & Reloaded still freezes on the 360 when I enter the door near the whirlpool. :(

It may not have to do with smudges on the disc. I had a similar problem with Red Dead Revolver on the 360 whenever I would fight Bad Betty. After doing some research I found that there was a glitch with Betty's melee attack that caused the game to freeze.

I think it's a glitch in the 360's backwards compatibility, and other people on the internet seem to agree, but BtEO claims his copy works perfectly...

Could be a difference between regional versions. :/

DSEGSRDGRGFS RANT: Okay, the rise of multiplayer co-op campaigns as either a feature or main draw, that's fine. The fact that this coincides with the decline of of one-box one-game co-op local multiplayer, however, FUCKING SUCKS. You hear that, Microsoft? You hear it, game developers? FUCK THIS SHIT. Let me play games with friends and family needing only one box and, you know, one tv, so we can play all gathered around the same room. Fuck. Bring back one-box co-op / multiplayer. Aaaargh. /flail

Fuggle: So I take it you saw the latest proposed entry from the makers of Halo?
Rave: Yankees can't win, Tampa Bay can't lose.
Rant: So do I hear it right that for some strange reason, Tropicana Field will block out HDTV signals?
Rave: Last night's Missouri v. Illinois game was really good.
Rant: Took 4+ damn hours even with the 40 second NFL-style game clock. Why the hell does it take so damn long to complete a football game?
Rant: Disney handles their fairies and princess franchises like pimps handle their bitches. Except their beauty doesn't deteriorate after about three years of constant screwing. (In other words, a 3-D Tinkerbell movie and a direct-to-home-video the Little Mermaid prequel was unneeded and uncalled for.)

Nope. It's prompted by recent experiences with Mercenaries 2, Too Human, and Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2 (which can do 2p split-screen but can't further break it down to 4p, what? And then can't double-box 4p in the split screen it can already run? Aaargleblarg. I blame XBox Live.)

Rave: I have a lot of family in Tampa Bay. Some of them have been calling me this year to talk trash about how the Rays are up on the Red Sox. I don't know what's funnier: my family in Tampa Bay calling me to talk trash about baseball, or that I actually get to respond "look, talk all you want, we already GOT what we really wanted up here."

Related Rave: Carlos Pena is doing some mashing for the Rays. Look, if the Rays win the AL East over Boston because a dude from Northeastern carried their offense on his back for the last two months, so be it. I think I'd get over something like that pretty quick. Not every day I get to see an athlete from my alma mater do something of relevance; surely, you won't see any Northeastern grads tearing up the NFL, the best basketball player they've had in over a decade didn't make the NBA and nobody watches the one sport the school's good at (hockey, and yes I'm stretching the definition of "good" on this one) anymore.
ampersand wrote:Rant: So do I hear it right that for some strange reason, Tropicana Field will block out HDTV signals?
Not sure what you're talking about, but I can't imagine you're missing much. The ugliest stadium in baseball isn't getting any prettier in high definition.
ampersand wrote:Rave: Last night's Missouri v. Illinois game was really good.
...If Arena football's your sort of thing, yes.

Best sign for Missouri: their players were disappointed with themselves following the win, because they knew that it's not often you win a football game without a shred of defense.

RANT: The 360 has a couple of USB ports on it. So I have a habit of plugging my keyboard in. Now, since there are many FPS games for the console, I wanted to see if I could get some keyboard and mouse action going. Nope. Forget that. I want some WASD action dammit!!!

I mean come on. FFXI lets me use my keyboard if I so desire, what's the issue with a mouse too? Why can't I at least navigate my dashboard with it? Boo! BOO I SAY!!!

Cid, let me put it to you this way. Missouri : College Football :: Tampa Bay Rays : Major League Baseball. It's not great, and yes, the 52-42 score was a wee bit too high for my taste. (The scoreboard operator should have shown a Tilt! sign at the end of the game.) But considering how inept Missouri Football has been in the last twenty-five years (Nebraska - Missouri, The Kick game; Colorado - Missouri, The Fifth Down game) I'll enjoy the success they are having.

(Rant: Seriously, how is the Tampa Bay manager NOT in the discussion for manager of the year honors?)

Because the discussion should be who is second.

Decided to look up some Perdictions.

Pretty sure we get your version, just with the different package. Hell, sometimes there's just a sticker with our OFLC ratings and you can peel them off and there's the UK ratings logos.

WASD is for old-timers. TFGH -- or if you're really brave, TFVH -- gives you the whole keyboard to work with.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.
