Re: Logo Design Contest
The problem with that logo is that the type will be completely lost when sized down to business card size. Not only the text, but the icon as well. The text needs to be more solid and have much better spacing.Hirschof wrote:Gave up on one design (didn't feel right). Did this other quick one.

I'll see what I can come up with and post it soon.

Re: Logo Design Contest
I just printed it on a card while leaving space for contact info and address. It looked alright but it does need some adjustments for it to look good on paper. But the image posted isn't the full size or proper resolution.
The original image size is about three times bigger and the resolution )for the .psd file) is 300 pixels/inch. I tried posting the image but settled for a URL link after a five minute struggle. Regardless, it does need some work so I'll edit it tomorrow (its at work) and post a link.

But Liz, you already go to the gathering for free. What're you gonna do with THREE free segments?
<Arc_Orion> And I give rides to dudes!
<kaiju01> Yeah, I'm kind of a dick.

I like this one so far--the first one seemed too political-looking.Hirschof wrote:Gave up on one design (didn't feel right). Did this other quick one.

Has anyone thought about just a logo? Something without the title of the business?
EDIT--Liz, you can always bring the user of said logo as well! *grin, blink blink*

I think if I were to win, I would put the money into the pot to make it cheaper for everyone.

I approve of this plan (despite my own likelihood of not being able to go)

Updated logo

Even made a sample business card, printed out fine. "Gray" needs minor adjustments I think.

That was the one I scrapped. Tried doing something with a "G." I'll start from scratch on that one again.Has anyone thought about just a logo? Something without the title of the business?

No one's going to call this statement out for being retarded?I like this one so far--the first one seemed too political-looking.

I was trying to do research on these companies and found ALOT of complaints about Pre-Paid Legal Services. Did you research them before you partnered?NotQuiteDead wrote:United First Financial (Bluffdale, UT) and Pre-Paid Legal Services (Ada, OK)

If you did and made your decision with all of the facts, then cool - I just feared that you would get a year or so down the road and then realize it.

Re: Logo Design Contest
Yes, I did. I've also used the service for over 2 years now, been a marketing Associate for the same time, no complaints. The services this company provides are being used locally by the City of Wilmington, New Hanover County, New Hanover Health Network, and most recently the North Carolina National Guard. They've done their research. Currently we're in about 15 million homes and almost 50,000 companies.
As far as the company goes, we've been endorsed by the Fed. Chamber of Commerce, at least four state Attorneys-General (to include Michael Moore of Mississippi, who won the first class-action lawsuit against the tobacco industry), the chairman of the American Bar Association, etc. Pre-Paid Legal is traded on the NYSE, it's been in business for about 36 years, and the company is solid.
I've seen these reports--most of the time it's been the fault of the marketing Associate not explaining exactly what services are provided (and more importantly what is not). That's why writing good business and understanding the products and services is crucial, especially with a network marketing business model.
Thanks for the concern though!
