I'm still tweaking the bed side of things, and of course airfare is going to move around some in the meantime. It's not an easy thing to balance. Sort of like class balancing in a multiplayer game.
There's one more-or-less fixed piece to the price, which is to cover the base costs (food, airfare for the hosts, hosts' portion of the house). The other piece will vary by the bed type (and for some beds how many people are in it). We're not charging people the same to sleep in twin bunk beds with three other people in the room and no private bathroom as for the master king.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

I might be able to make it this time! Especially if it's in September.

I won't know until the next school year starts... I'm hoping to get the professor that's never there. If I do, I can just take the one class and then I should only have work to request off for.

Isn't that in August? Payments are probably going to come due before then.

Leaning more and more towards no this year. Not only do I still have debt, I really wish to purchase an iPhone at some point. NC is third on the list, but it looks unlikely I'll even get to the second item in enough time.

Darn. I really felt a German would be helpful for a European invasion of America…

Dude, don't get them started. It's like eating Pringles with them when it comes to invasions.

Okay so I really feel like I can somehow make this trip work.
For those of you who went last year (this year? April 2008ish) how much did it cost not including travel and food? I just need to get a rough ( very rough) idea of how much money I should save up.

This year prices are going to be TOTALLY different. Last year we had a set price that each person would pay depending on how long they were there. Two days would be $xx, 4 days would be $xxx, etc. This year (2009, whatever) the price is going to be based entirely on a per room basis. Please read the first post for further information on how pricing is going to be different.
Telling you how much it was last year won't really be helpful at all because like I said, pricing is going to be TOTALLY different this year.

$500 for the entire week will probably not be enough. $750-$1000 for an entire week would be a "safe bet" That would include food but would not include travel. That's just a wild estimate.
