Vin Scully, the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"Good morning and welcome to my startup screen! It's a balmy 69 degrees here in Beantown today and clear enough to see for miles. You have three e-mails, and there's an important item on your calendar that you'd better check out this afternoon at 3:30."

... Yes.

But since that's obvious and obligatory, I might have it have a small % chance of changing voices every so often.

GLaDOS SHODAN.
Peter Stromare.
Walter Koenig.
Edward James Olmos.
Peter Jurassic. In his Centauri accent.
And Jennifer Hale. Just Because.

Oh god, yeah, too many good options, but eh, I think Majel Barret just wins.

Oh yes and I want a mode to take sound clips from as many different instances of mob fear-screaming as possible from movies, tv, etc, mash them together, and modulate it into speech. Just for freaking people out.

And how about a mode where every day, it's a different member of Monty Python?

Or if not someone in particular's voice, just a smoky,
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."

"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

Um, my choices? Barry White because... I don't know but he has REALLY nice voice. Gene Simmons maybe. Leonard Nimoy would be cool to satisfy my inner geek.

I don't think I'd want a female voice. If I had to choose one.... Emma Thompson.

Since Majel Barret's already been chosen multiple times and, well, she's dead... I'm going to have to go with Sigourney Weaver.

That would never work. Every time you went to pick the thing up it'd tell you to get away from it, you bitch!

I wouldn't care if all it did was spout lines from "Galaxy Quest" intermixed with the narrative of "Planet Earth".
