7-30-09 A Bird in the Hand...

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

7-30-09 A Bird in the Hand...

Post by oobee » Thu Jul 30, 2009 7:23 am

I've seen a few interviews with Pat, and I've got to admit, he's almost nothing like his beard makes him out to be. That's a scary face... but a very congenial nerd.
...I'll go back to my corner now.

Did anyone else hear the Doogie Howser theme song in their head when reading the last panel?

Shoot, did I just age myself?

Oh thank goodness, I wasn't the only one to hear the music. Did not go as far as googling it, though now I'm tempted.

What's worse is that I didn't get the image from Doogie in my head, I got it from HIMYM...

You're aging ME with that comment. I'm pretty sure you just dated yourself.

That said, well, me too :)

And I would've LOVED to be there with Greg and Liz and Pat. I'd like to meet that dude one day.

We have all just secured our geek.

Who is Pat though? It seems like I should know, but I just don't.

I didn't hear it till I read this thread, I was thinking more along the lines of DOS, on computers that ancient peoples used.

I heard the Doogie Howser theme and also wondered if Patrick asked Greg to sign his testicles.

Patrick Rothfuss wrote a book that is quite possibly the best of its genre. We're anxiously awaiting book two!

That's a dangerous meeting. What if he was a douche! Then it would be so hard to read him anymore... Glad he was "cool"!
