Re: 09-08-09 - OMG JYB!
See, I've never really seen him in anything, or watched anything he's done the voice for. I just know him as that awesome guy who I keep winding up as a co-guest at conventions with. He's a really cool guy - we've been guests with him at at least 6 cons now. We saw him at AOD and he recognized us instantly. Meanwhile, Jes was sitting in the booth geeking out. It was kind of hilarious.

I agree.Frosting wrote:But Bleach is not my favorite JYB anime... I loved him as Vash in Trigun. That's one of his best in my opinion.

Really? Hmm - I just counted three because for me they had major stopping points. I'll put these in spoilers:
I have yet to read beyond the early chapters of the "third" arc in the manga - I stopped right aroundSpoiler: (click to reveal/hide)
, and I think I stopped watching the anime - god I don't even remember anymore. It was a LOOONG time ago if they're 12 seasons in though. 0.0Spoiler: (click to reveal/hide)

Ya I guess they do bleed into each other. I'm just going by the announcements they made in the ending credits and such saying "next week we will start a new arch" blah blah... AND you are missing out! It's gotten so much better from where you have stopped... Some awesome fights.

Only by about three months. Shouldn't take you too long to catch up.

Be proud of me Adciv. I was actually a year behind, and I caught up in two days - I remember I stopped right around the time Hanamori came into the fight, but I actually went back and re-aquainted myself with the beginning of the town battle just so I knew what was going on. I am all caught up as of last week's release!

Oh, that guy? He had some grand stories to tell about conventions on a recent ANN podcast. Like the time he was signing something for someone who then says "my friend thinks you suck, but I think you're OK". Ah, fans.Gouf_Custom wrote:Really, guys? No love for JYB as Vash the Stampede?

That's what I meant, I caught up on a year's worth of manga.Frosting wrote:Nice... now catch up to the manga. :p
The Bleach anime I'm just going to watch as it comes out here in boxsets. There's no way I'm going to spend time downloading all those eps I've missed so far (and I'm even further behind in that than I was in the manga!) and watching them. I simply do not have the time or the energy to put that kind of effort into downloading fansubs anymore.

Lol I don't keep up with the anime that much either I haven't downloaded a fansub in months o.o really the only one I really want to download is Katekyo Hitman Reborn, but I have to accept crunchyroll streaming for it. Plus reading manga gets me out of horrible fillers
And I have most current box sets on all my anime except Naruto which I just plain old hate Naruto's english voice it just grates on the nerves. I'll buy it when they start coming out with full seasons instead of volume/parts (they call it a volume but volumes only have 4-6 eps, and it has roughly 13-14 which is a part) and they started releasing seasons that they call parts o.O (it contains 26-30 eps which is a season). The second season comes out next month I suppose I'll start buying those then.

Catching up on the FMA manga was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made.darcerin wrote:That's what I meant, I caught up on a year's worth of manga.Frosting wrote:Nice... now catch up to the manga. :pNow I'm catching up with the FMA manga.

But seriously it rocks so go go go go.

I'm going! I'm going! I'm in the 80's somewhere. I kind of like having a monthly release rather than a weekly, but I'm loving Bleach too much now to stop.StruckingFuggle wrote:Catching up on the FMA manga was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made.darcerin wrote:That's what I meant, I caught up on a year's worth of manga.Frosting wrote:Nice... now catch up to the manga. :pNow I'm catching up with the FMA manga.
NOW I HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS.

Re: 09-08-09 - OMG JYB!
I have so many ongoing manga it's not funny o.o but FMA is one of the best even if it is monthly. I am soooo glad they have started to make FMA Brotherhood which ACTUALLY follows the manga. (Manga>anime, for FMA anyway).
