End of Stargate Entirely

To those who didn’t hear this weekend about the sad new Stargate Universe is completely finished off, no movie no nothing.

Furthermore there are no plans for anything with the Stargate franchise anymore at MGM, no movies, no new series, no reviving SGA, no video games, no nothing.

And to top things of Brad Wright who has been with the franchise from the very beginning with SG-1 is moving on so who knows what sort of writing any new movie/series would have.

So now that the end has come and we only have a few episodes left of SGU what are your thoughts?

Also as a sub question, is it just me or does the space opera sub-genera look like it is going to be completely dead on television unless you want to include Doctor Who if you get BBCA?
