Any pics of the full costume? I'm curious how it all goes together with that crazy makeup job.

I was watching a great documentary the other day about how the discoveries of fossilised remains of dinosaurs and giant pre-historic creatures have been explained over the millenia by the pre-science cultures who encountered them.
One theory being that the Medusa myth was ancient Greece's explanation for living things being tranformed into stone.

Y'know, I think the time it took to type that would be longer than the time it might remain interesting for the reader. If at all.

So believe it or not this year is the first time I've ever done anything for Halloween. Never been trick-or-treating when I was younger, no parties before this year.
The theme was cowboys and aliens.
I wasn't told the theme until too late to change my plans… I did hastily buy some antennae, they had flashing LEDs in too, but unfortunately they wouldn't stay put on my head so they're not pictured here.

So anyway, this happened:

Later I managed to get hold of Marvin the Martian's helmet.

And it's a good job Greg and Liz weren't here.

Fnaar fnaar.

You know, it's strange, but every time an American posts pictures from a house party, they're using paper cups. How about that?

It is because we know when we get drunk we break things. When I used to throw parties, I would take all of my glasses out of the cupboards so people weren't even tempted to use them.

It's pretty much become ingrained in American party culture now.

Turns out Marvin is actually a cute Asian girl — who knew.

Those heels have done something funny to my feet since the party though — I thought I did well to keep them on past midnight before switching to flats but I wasn't thinking far enough ahead. Now I have some weird pain in my left foot, feels like a relatively un-painful but very large blister, except there's nothing visible to pop or manipulate in any fashion and half the time I can't even feel it (at first I though I had something trapped in my sock and was stepping on it.)
