Now, I gotta get the smithy in my garage running again... hmm....

Actually, It's been so long since I did anything in the weaponry field, I don't know anymore. I want to build a trebuchet this summer. Even a small one. I started making a sword, but I ended up in the hospital, because I keep passing out. They think seizures. Haven't started it back up yet.

Nah, I've always been a knife guy. I don't have the room to house large swords otherwise I'd have several authentic samuari swords and such, I've always been a fan of their 1) style, 2) sharpness, 3) just the look, leaves the "Oooooo ahhhhhh" impression on me.

I want to get myself a few swords, but I intend to find out what kinda size of sword I can use best, first.
You don't think I'm simply gonna leave them on the WALL, do you?

Yeah, carbon spring steel will hold up a lot better than stainless. But unless you are fighting someone with a carbon spring steel blade, you'll never know the difference. Basically it boils down to if the 2 blades hit eachother, the stainless steel one would break while the carbon one would be unaffected.
I've only got 1 sword, and it's a scimitar. I've found that while knives are fast, I like haveing a bit more reach than they allow but don't wany to sacrifice too much of the speed. The scimitar allows for this quite nicely, and can be wielded in a fasion very similar to that of a knife, albeit with larger sweeps and a slightly slower recovery.

well, that's a given, each weapon has it's advantages and dis-advantages. But at the same time, how many people actually buy swords to REALLY fight with them? I could be wrong (always an option) but I'd assume not too many. My knives (for the most part) are always bought for application reasons, etc. Not just... "wow, check out that blade!"
