7/10 - Down with the Sickness

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

7/10 - Down with the Sickness

Post by Roundtop » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:20 pm

Repeat after me.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.
Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr.

Repeat as necessary.

Honestly, sick babies suck. Mine got sniffles a few times and it is challenging to say the least until they are over a year old, and even then, if they get a fever...uhg.

Have you tried those rubber bulbs with the little nozzles on them? a lot of people use them to clean babies' and toddlers' ears, but I've heard some have success using them to suck mucus out of noses as well.

Notice he didn't say baby or toddler noses...

I know it sounds trite, but it's a good thing. Let them get out and socialize now, and get sick. In about a year, you'll all be much healthier. And when she gets to school, there will much fewer sick days.

My son went to daycare at 6 weeks, and that first winter and beyond was ear infection, ear infection, cold, cold, ear infection. He;s 2 now, and he was only sick one or twice the past year.

Until then, chest rub and a humidifier will help.

Solution is trivial: make her a little brother.

considering Liz's morning sickness was so bad she had to be hospitalized she may want to take an extened break before baby Deen #2.

I feel for you! My little girl seems to have a perpetual flow of mucus and needs her daily nose vacuuming. Even then it doesn't help much. Thank god it seems to be decreasing now. Best if she sleeps to her side to let the mucus flow off.
