I actually had a dim awareness of Tesla. I'm just conforming to the jock stereotype I know you all think of when you think of me. Although I certainly hadn't realised he was as prolific as he was. Bill Bryson's At Home certainly does give you the impression that Edison was, when all's said and done, a bit of a cunt.

Aren't there some Fortean-style rumours about Tesla? Sex rays or orgone guns or communing with the dead or somesuch?
