Metallica: Torture device?

Post by SothThe69th » Wed May 21, 2003 7:13 pm

Originally I was going to drop this in current events/politics, but it just felt like it was much more general than the political forums could contain, and, as such, it goes here.

Yes, Metallica, Barney, Saliva and Sesame Street are being used to musically torture prisoners into talking. I could make a pithy comment about listening to George W. talking being just as effective, but I'm far beyond such trivialities.

If someone was to play Barney songs around me, I would tell them whatever they want. Barney is evil.

If they really want to torture me, they should forcefully make me listen to hip-hop.

Maybe it's just me, but I tend to tune out background noise such as TV's, music, etc. I can't tell you the lyrics to ...well nearly anything, because I just don't hear it. *shrugs* It would not really bother me to have that stuff on.

Theres a distinct difference Cheetah- They're playing it nice and LOUD, for hours on end, depriving you of sleep, and destroying your mind.

*grins* You know, that wouldn't affect me at all... I'd get used to the repetetiveness of the tracks and fall asleep pretty quickly... That and I like Saliva and Metallica. I can live with Barney and Sesame Street, too. With the friends I grew up with, very little affects me in a way that would make me tell people things.

*/me rocks out to Enter Sandman!*
Only 24 hours? That's not enough!!!!! I'm one of those people, who knows the lyrics to the barney song, and as such, I sing it when people around me are most likely to be bothered. I'm evil.

Blaze- "Exit Light"? Metallica made no such song, unless you're referring to the lyric "Exit Light, Enter Night, take my hand, off to never never land" in "Enter Sandman".

And TSO- Could you rock out 24 hours to the Barney theme song?

No no no. I know that. But as long as they're playing metal, they've gotta change CD's sooner or later.

Laptops with MP3s on continuous loop randomly loading various tracks played at 90 decibels would inflict much torture.

Or they could play the most evil of all songs, Copacabana.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

I would think a loop of "Peanut butter jelly time", "Copacabana", "Macarena", "The Ketchup Song", and "The Beautiful People" would break even the strongest will.
