Real Life "Bloopers"?

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Real Life "Bloopers"?

Post by GI Joe » Tue Feb 18, 2003 2:48 am

I was hoping to gather such things such as Real Life hidden bloopers that were unintentional, or inside jokes or other things that the average reader might not catch. Can anybody think of any?

yea. when daves char was angry at greg for spoiling gandalfs return (he hadnt read the book) makes no sense because in an earlier comic he talks about the lotr books and their content/storylines w/ greg.

i thnk threre was a reason for hte 1984 thing... buggered if i can remember, though.

the only other things that i can think of are when you read the backgrounds in some of the earlier strips. For example, in some of the Ultima Online comics, when he is at the cleric, the poster in the background says:

"tips to stay healthy"

1) remember not to die.

Odd copyright lines

Post by jmcc » Wed Feb 19, 2003 2:41 pm

I just scanned back a bit -- a little ways into last year -- and didn't find any strips with 1984 as their copyright date. However, 20 and 21 January 2003 are both a little strange in that department. The twentieth's strip is copyright 2002 (the year before), while the twenty-first's is copyright 1978. Couldn't see any obvious reason for this.

Yes, 2002 was a mistake. He says that he then got so many people telling him he'd screwed up that he put 1978 in just to spite them. There was no real reason apart from that.
