I wrote this down ages ago, before The Matrix was in theatres... Then I saw the Matrix, and was reminded of this...
well, i looked in this mirror, and was fixing my ponytail and i noticed that the top of my head was shaved, and i thought to myself "hey.. i'm not bald" and then my hair started to regrow, and become part of the ponytail.. starting from the back, and moving forwards.. kinda like it regrew and burrowed itself into the ponytail.. it was as though something external was controlling my dream and realized that it had made a mistake and i had realized it.. then it tried to correct the mistake by regrowing my hair right in plain sight, when i was looking in a mirror.. maybe what happened is that my subconscious (i think thats what creates dreams) realized that it had made a mistake and corrected it during the "run-time" of my dream, when i was able to notice it.. nothing is wierder than seeing hair sprouting out of your head and sliding back along your scalp, feeling it intertwining itself with, burrowing into the already existing ponytail and then finally not being able to feel any difference between the new hair and the hair that was there before..

I rarely remember my dreams as well.. It feels weird. i envy people who do remember their dreams..
the only kind of dreams i remember sometimes are dreams where i die a horrible and very painful death. and those plain suck.

nothing dirty mind you! Just strange!
Awww! But my strangest dream to date was dirty! I've only ever had one dream like that, and it featured a person I TOTALLY never thought ot. You all know her, by the way.

Anyway.... I have very weird dreams. This one was from a few years ago. I remember it very well.

I was, I think, a double agent spy. It started with me sitting in my old church, and then somebody leaned over and told me that "they're on to me." Evidently, this was very bad, because I bolted right out of there into the church's main halway. I was running down it, and, much to a cliche', the hallway stretched out and got really reall really long. I was running, but sort of walk running. I knew as a spy I had to look cool.

Anyway, I finally reached the other end, where the parking lot is, only to discover "they" had sealed it in with a brick wall. Unfortuantly, "they" had forgotten to remove the tank convinently parked in my church parking lot. So, I barreled through the wall, and then I don't remember exactly. There was some sort of a chase, and then a multi-teired airport I had to go through to catch a flight leaving from the 5th floor (....right.....). I know I had to wear a trenchcoat and a hat so as not to be seen, and disguise my voice.

That's all I remember about that one.
and the sight of Jez being sucked into a vacuum cleaner
According to my research, that means you subconciously view Jez as a dirty, dirty person. :shifty: :mrgreen:

I've had odd dreams. And some involving me (nearly) having sex, but sadly waking up before it starts.

I hate when that happens.

I think EVERYONE has dreamed and it was so real to them, and it was like normal life, then you get up and walk to the bathroom and just go, and you're like WTF and you wake up. That reminds me of that part from the AniMatrix where he types "My dreams are more real than when I'm awake. Am I alone?"

Then the screens like

"You Are Not Alone."

Heh. I'm damn glad I dream rarely ever since i was like 6, and yes i've had those continuous dreams, the funny thing is I had a windows error screen at the end of one, woke up, went back to sleep, and the dream continued. This asks the question: "What OS is the matrix running?"
hahaha i don't come to these forums anymore :x

Where to start... Hm...

How about the time I dreamt there was a Godzilla-sized Mario destroying a city?

On the suject of dreaming, anyone heard of lucid dreaming?

Lucid Dreaming FAQ

My weirdest dream i can actually remember bits and pieces of involved unicycles O_o it was really weird.. i borrowed my friends unicycle (even tho i dont know anyone with a unicycle) and rode it around town, then down a big bumpy hill then everyone was riding em and it was a big race... like i said.. weird dream indeed...

a good tip to remember your dreams.. instead of just getting up after waking, lie still and think what you can remember from start to finish.. and you'll remember alot more of it throughout the day.

Lucid dreaming is a very frequent part of my life. It's awesome when you realize that it's a dream and can take some control.

Another thing I'd recommend when it comes to dreaming if you're really interested, is to keep a dream journal. Like Sorcerer said, lie still after waking up, think about it, then pick up the journal right next to your bed and try to write it all down. I have some dream journals somewhere, but I have an insane memory when it comes to dreaming so I tend to not use them a whole lot.
Reading Perl is like reading music. It can be a little hard to get into at first, but once you can read it, it's like food for the soul.

Hmmm... the weirdest thing that has happened to date in my dreams is the fact that the same character shows up in a lot of them.

I call her the Red Queen, from Alice through the Looking Glass, not Resident Evil... ^.^;

She gets a kick out of torturing me... you know, like laughing and saying that at the count of five, I will wake up. Then, the count down, and my alarm clock goes off... ;_;

IT's really freaky.... I tried killing her in my last dream.... but she got the better of me, and laughed as she reminded me that at the count of five, she would win.... and then, five seconds later, the alarm clock went off.... ^.^;

I really hate this chick... ^.^;

I'm with Brian... I remember my dreams really well most of the time, and used to be able to have lucid dreams. I realize I'm dreaming quite frequently, but lately don't bother to change anything much (does this mean I'm at peace with myself? My subconscious is already going where I want it to?) . When I do change things it's a very weird sensation... trying to bend the world to my will, against all my knowledge of physics. Very much how casting magic or being aware in the Matrix feels, I imagine. :D I remember this one time I wanted to force a square hole in a wall to widen, so I just stared at it and felt this strange burning sensation... I remember clearly thinking, "This is a dream, change darnit!" and I bent all my will on it -- and it changed. Oddly, whenever I do things that defy natural laws (fly, cast magic, etc) I feel that strange burning/tingly sensation.

As for strange dreams... I couldn't pick the oddest. For a while I used to say it was the one with the dinosaurs that bled poisonous oatmeal and covered the world. There is this one I want to make into a painting... There's this 3 or 4 year old boy, sort of floating in darkness. He looks up with a sad and peaceful expression, and this thread comes down on his head and neatly splices his face and skull in half. His young mother is in the background, far away but watching and crying, and suddenly it's clear that the child is being punished for something his mother did wrong. The boy does not mind, however, because it is his mother. Both of these characters are complete strangers to me.

The coolest dream (I can think of off the top of my head) was being in a Zelda game. I got to kill things with the Giant’s Knife and jump around in pretty scenery. That rocked. The worst dreams are the ones where my teeth break or fall out. >.< I've never even had a cavity!
