Re: Needing Advice: On July 20, What are the Essentials for
Trust me, Ace Combat 4 is nothing like Aerowings 64, heh. But in case your paranoid, try renting it, it's still fun.I've hated most flight mission based games due to a satanic one called Aerowings 64. Returned that a half hour later due to it's suckin' gaemplay.
The only create a fighter game I know of is Fighter Maker for the PS, which I own. It's fun to play with, difficult to learn at first. I made a move called grab ass. Guess what it did?Maybe any of the fighting games, but what about that Create a Fighter game?
Or even RPG Maker 2?
RPG Maker 2, not sure about, I bought the one for the PS and it was fun as well. I heard that RPG Maker 2 had online capabilities and also used the hard drive. If that's so, it might be interesting.
http://www.freqnet.com for info on Frequency or Amplitude. Btw did I mention you get a online demo of Frequency when you get the network adapter? It's like 3 songs, so that should tell you if you like it or not.Never heard of Frequency or Amplitude
Here is a game, that should have been badass. Tribes is known for the teamwork involved and it's massive maps. What the ps2 version is nothing like it. First there is no communication with your team mates. Unless you count the automatic voice comms that go off. Plus, like Robotech: Battlecry, it has many many landscape bugs. Although the 2 player online mode is awesome, I'd suggest getting a big tv with it.SOCOM is definately on my mind. What about Tribes?
Other games to look into:
Tony Hawk 3 or 4(Online modes, you'll get your ass whipped, but it's fun)
Rygar(bad story, but fun as hell, I call it the smashy game)
Shinobi(Tons of replay value, and pure action, brings back the days of the side scroller where your top score was important)

Tony Hawk 4? It has online modes!? Hot damn, I'm there! Besides, I mastered it on the Gamecube and my Rodeo Cowboy will whip yer arse anyday! Yeehaa!
**marks down Tony Hawk 4**
So I've got:
DDR (Buy)
Dynasty Warriors 4 (Rental or Buy)
Tony Hawk 4 (Buy)
SOCOM (Buy)
Network Adapter (Buy)
I need more details.

Guilty Gear XX, especially if you want your friends crying foul when you instant-kill them. XD
I had that dream again. My world was black as night. Plagued by visions of a future world, I sang about these dreams, warning man of his demise. Wasted words that no one heard...

almost though they would forget about the ps1 stuff for ps2, a one must buy if you dont have it,
Final Fantasy 7
cant go wrong with that game. Its cheep to. Final Fantasy X was a hyped a little to much but its still a solid game. As for X-2 i dont know, i know i'm going to play it but then again their is not an english FF game i have not played or beat.
Note: Mother 1 and 2 is comming out for gba, i wonder if it will be translated. fyi: mother is the jap name for the earthbound series.
Mwahaha, I am, of course, teh greatest Earthbound fan ever. Bought the original when it first came out.
By the way, does anyone have MORE info on Amplitude? Sounds like a fun game.
basically it's a beat game. Your a in a cylinder type road that is constantly moving. Little beats pop up that you have to hit in order to get the track instrument(the track your on) to play for te song. This sounds very confusing, i'll give an example.
The game starts off. There is no music. No beat. On the first track, let's say the drums, you do a simple beat:
o--
---
-o-
---
--o
---
-o-
---
o--
The far left circle you would press L1(or square), the middle you would press R2(or Triangle) and the far right one you would press L2(or circle). This can all pass by in a few seconds, or a second. it gets rather fast eventually. It's best to look for a video of how it works if you want to really check it out.
I just recently rechecked out Dark Cloud 2. All I can say is it's nothing like Dark Cloud 1, because it's fun. It doesn't have the annoying water - thirsty thing, and it's just generally a far better game. They took out all the parts I hated(the sluggish georama(world builder) is now fast sleek and tons more forgiving, made the dungeons funner to play around with) and added a lot of new things that are just nice. So as of now, I'd suggest getting Dark Cloud 2.
Btw, don't even get me started on Mother. When that game comes out, if I don't get a copy, everyone is going down(until I get a copy). I have two copies of the snes cart of EarthBound. One is encased in glass, it's now a paper-wieght/shrine. The other is in my snes.
