Are you a political slacker?

1) Remain civil. Respect others' rights to their viewpoints, even if you believe them to be completely wrong.
2) Sourcing your information is highly recommended. Plagiarism will get you banned.
3) Please create a new thread for a new topic, even if you think it might not get a lot of responses. Do not create mega-threads.
4) If you think the subject of a thread is not important enough to merit a post, simply avoid posting in it. If enough people agree, it will fall off the page soon enough.

SARS and West Nile never killed anywhere near as many people as die from Car accidents each month.

Just thought I'd point that out.

Hell, far more people die from the flu than from either of those diseases.
Please list your name, age, state, and type of area you live in (Urban, suburban, rural, etc).
1) If you were eligible to vote in the last election, did you vote? Why or why not?
2) Do you support a particular party, if so which one?
3) What are the issues, if any, that are most important to you as a voter?
4) Off the top of your head, explain a few differences between the Republican and Democratic parties political platforms.
5) Can you name any third-parties? Describe their platform.
6) How do you get information about politics? (TV, newspapers, magazines, government publications, etc.)
7) If you did not vote in the last election and were eligible to vote, why?
David Foster, Age: 30, State: Florida, Area: Rural
1) I did not vote in the last national elections, I was unable to get to the polls due to my job hours and thought I would be able to get away, and did not do the absentee ballot deal. I did not vote in the last presidential election because I thought all candidates were idiots who would be equally efficient in screwing things up.
2) I do not support any particular party. I may be classified as an Independant at best.
3) Insurance (all forms, keeping costs low), Education (costs and quality), Trade Restrictions (on who and how badly)
4) Jackasses versus Elephants. Just a line someone drew in the sand and said "you are either here or there, take your pick". No substantial differences.
5) I have only heard of the Independants, and know nothing of their platform, if they even had one.
6) Newspapers, Internet Articles, This forum.
7) Answered in Question #1.

I don't care who's right, who's wrong, or what you meant to say. Only thing I care about is the Truth. If you have it, good, share it. If not, find it. If you want to argue, do it with someone else.

I knew you were joking, Severn. :P Don't worry about it.
