And people yell when we get dup topics, so please do not continue the trend of putting noobs in lose-lose situations.
For the record; resurrecting topics with positive contributions is proper forum etiquette. Necroing threads without positive contributions is not.
Ontopic: ibelievehdt, there is a lot in your post that resonates with me (I come from very similar circumstances)
If you are interested in exploring these questions in depth, there is a lot of terrific literature written on the topic of Theology of the Body. A great deal of the philosophy around this was spearheaded by the Catholic Pontiff, the late Pope John Paul II. Since the philosophy is firmly grounded in scripture and a general understanding of the teachings of Christ, it generally resonates with non-Catholic Christians as well. There are a ton of hard truths in this teaching, but they all make sense from a purely spiritual point of view. So, Christians are the ones who are supposed to remain sexually pure because the Bible says so, right? Well, I can't be so sure. I haven't found an exact definition of "sexual immorality" (which is about the only word the New Testament uses in regard to sex) or "fornication" (most say it's premarital sex, but some say it's just adultery).
