UPDATE:
The server is currently up and running! AND, surprisingly, it's all working! All of the scripting I have done so far appears to work great! It needs more testing (for which I will be recruiting a few people) but as far as I can tell there is only 1 major problem, being that the blacksmiths don't seem to work properly, which I will endevour to fix tomorrow

I have made an install pack to allow people to connect to my server, along with instructions on how to do it.

I have come accross a slight hiccup, which I hope to be resolved soon (I was planning on running the server at work on a nice fast line, but I may have to forefit that now and run it from my home machine untill I can get something worked out).

I'll keep you all posted, but as long as you have RO already installed on your machine it is incredibly easy to connect. I am also hosting the RO install, so if you don't have it, you can donwnload it from my FTP

I will post all the insformation soon!

That's great to hear that it's just an install pack that needs to be downloaded

I found another private server site and you had to download a whole new copy of the client and that's.. uh... death for people without really fast connections like me

having different sex for characters on an account inst possible, the sex is locked into the database entry once created. And about custom weapon creation, it would be pretty difficult to do as all the weapons are hardcoded into the client data; although the prices on the strongest weapons can be altered to whatever desired i believe. Also, newbe5, are you modifying the exp gain at all? ive heard that anything over 2x normal can corrupt all the databases and start giving negative exp amounts.

It does, unless you change some files on the client side to give back the relevent information.

I'm currently planning on running the server with a 1.0 exp gain, but I'm planning on upping it to 1.5 in the near future.

I'm still having major problems with the blacksmiths, but this should be fixed soon.

UPDATE:
I am looking for people to test the server for me! Please get in touch with me if you want to help beta my server! Bear in mind that during this time there will be features missing and I will be changing things and removing bugs as we go.

I would be proud to beta, although i just told you in mIRC that i would play xenosaga, i'll see about installing RO on my parents computer, since it is the only one with an internet connection.

What new stuff did you add? If its the current version thats running in iRO I don't wanna test any of it. >_> Sorry to be a little harsh about it. I'm just kinda burned out on the old stuff.
