IUPAC states that both Aluminum and Aluminium are acceptable, thus, I'm going with Smaointinium.

Noah Webster decided to put it in his dictionary as Aluminum. We don't know why. Mr. Webster was a bit odd.


But he did get rid of all sorts of extraneous vowels that the dirty Normans forced on the English language, so Whatever he says is fine by me.
