i like to go back to counterstrike every so often, and its cool if u find that server where pretty much everyone knows everyone, and assholes are kicked ahh good times

Yes I play all other but couldn't get into them as much as counterstrike
1942: I found to be boring and slow for the fact that it takes ten minutes to get anywhere then you die you take off in a plane you die and you drive a jeep you die and so on
Rainbow Six: liked for the swat team fell to it ability to control the team
Ghost Recon: has to be my second favorite just for teh ability to be like rainbow 6 and then the other features it has

They have plenty and thay also have everquest and UO for people like greg dean and he's buddies and for the people like dave thay have unreal and others

TFC takes down CS and pwnz it like a little girl. hehe there is just so much more variety in that mod than CS ^^ It seems to me CS is a gamed that's geared towards campers. My biggest problem in CS is that I get so damned impatient waiting for SOMETHING to happen I start nosing around and get nailed. I also hate that it doesn't matter how much inertia you have while moving - the bullets are magic freeze in time and space bullets that make it so you're stuck in place as soon as you're hit. Grrr - Ah well my favorite though is Tribes 2 ^^

Well, first of all, tell that to the CPL which decided to make it its flagship game had old a tournament where the winning clan won $70,000 USD> Second, if you even played competitive CS you would know that it's far from being geared towards camping. Third, the game is geared towards bits of realism, so lets see how fast you can move in real life while getting shot.

So, wait, you're telling me that spawning right after you die is a GOOD thing? I would tend to call that retarded. In CS, you die, you get punished by sitting out the rest of the round, simple. I'd much rather play a game like that than one where there is, effectively speaking, no fear of death.

And, if you want strategy in a game, maybe you should join a server with dedicated players, the same problem (That of lack of teamwork.) probably exists in a lot of games (*cough*MOH*cough*).

The only times I've really seen good teammwork being used in almost any FPS is if it's for a league game, otherwise, due to the fact that we as human beings do not share a hive mind, teamplay is kept to a bare minimum. Besides, these days I just pub to work on aim, if I want teamplay, I'll rejoin my old clan.

i prefer CS over UT03 too. i like CS a lot and it's one of best online FPS, the Medal of Honor game are the best single player FPS in my opinion.

I was at (I think it was) Tsunamis house of... something or other (Can't recall), but I was having a great time there, they have a mod where you level as you kill people, and gain nifty skills by virtue of a race you choose at the beginning of a round.

Thats the amx mod. its also called wc3mod?? something like that. you can choose a race i think there are 4 of them... each one has a different type of skill.. if you want brute force though go for the orges, they get critical hit damage level up, granade damage level up, and lightning as a special spell.

I don't recall Ogre being on there, the selection had Humans, Night Elves, and the Undead, and a 4th (I think) that I can't remember.

I went with Undead. Suicide Bombing = pimpest ability EVER. Rush in with a FNP90, blast everyone, die, kill more people.
